I have dealt with Handi House on numerous occasions and have always had the best of service. Friendly, helpful and always problem-solving to find the best solution. Recently, I was looking at purchasing a wheelchair for my father. Paul researched numerous options to find the best to fit my father's needs and his home. Paul ended up finding a wheelchair that was perfectly suited. He made all the changes that he needed for the wheelchair to be right for him before delivery. Once delivered, Paul spent time with my father orientating with the new chair and making the necessary modifications so the chair would be custom and comfortable for him. He returned a week later to help with any other changes that my father noticed after the week. The service was truly the best. Friendly and patient, allowed my father to ask questions. They will continue to follow up with my father if there are any other needs.
I would highly recommend Handi House to anyone, for personalized service with care.

I recently inherited a scooter from a family member. Although Handi-House does not carry this brand of scooter, Dany took the initiative and contacted the manufacturer to resolve the problem. One of the tires was leaking air, Dany ordered a new tube and replaced it free of charge. He also does something that is rare nowadays- he responds quickly to calls and emails. I highly recommend them.

My husband recently had surgery and was being discharged from the hospital sooner than I thought it would be. There was a rush to find a walker for him and I was beyond anxious and stressed. After one unpleasant and unsuccessful encounter with a different place I called Handi-House and Dany could not have been more kind or supportive. Handi-house was absolutely amazing for our family this week! After having no luck with the first medical supply store I called I gave Handi-house a call. Dany knew the answer to every question I had and was able to explain everything very effectively! One phone call and two days later all the equipment we needed was delivered to the retirement residence. Very easy to deal with, knowledgeable and excellent customer service. I highly recommend and will be going back again for any future needs!

My 84 year old mother spent 2 months in the hospital. The hospital was pushing for a nursing home and made it hard on us. We were given a list of supplies in order to keep her at home where she belongs. It was very stressful not knowing what we could afford and where to start. I visited handy house and within 5 minutes the stress was relieved by the amazing service I received by the manager. We were well taken care of and everything was affordable. I highly recommend this team and their knowledge. We are grateful. Thank you.

In my view, after my experiences with TLC and LHIN Champlain, it is foolish to go anywhere but Handi-House for mobility aids and service. Handi-House's knowledge and advice is impeccable.

I was sent home in April 2023 after surgery for a broken hip, but not told by the hospital what height, etc the 4-wheeled walker needed to be. My friend lent me one, but it was far too short.

When we tried to raise the handles, the brake disconnected and we could not fix it. I called around to 4-5 businesses, including the ones named above and Handi-House.

Dany of Hani-House called me back almost immediately, and came out the same day to reconnect the brake and told me what the hospital should have told me about the height, etc. He refused to take any payment. He also gave me great advice to get my walker up and down my steep front steps.

After my back became very sore from the loaned walker that was too short for me, I called Dany and asked him to sell or rent me something he felt was more appropriate. He explained the process of getting government assistance for a new appropriate walker, and brought me 2 new ones to try.

Already my back feels much better and I am so grateful that GOD created good people like Dany.

When I had called LHIN Champlain, they were totally booked up and referred me to TLC, never mentioning Handi-House, which I think is very inapprpropriate. They should provide a list of providers, not just their favorite.

When I called TLC, the receptionist kept chuckling when I told her it was dangerous for me to have a walker without brakes, etc and she clearly had no interest but to make sure I understood I had to pay for a private OT Assessment and the cost of a very basic model, which they would not deliver.

I was very irked when I asked TLC for the name of a
company who could fix the brakes on an urgent basis and she said I should not use independent businesses like Handi-House as they don't really have the expertise.

Why the hospital OT Assessment did not address my need for a walker, and the specifics is another matter, but the cavalier attitude of TLC needs to be addressed and the referral by the LHIN to only their favorite provider needs immediate attention.

In July of 2021 my husband had a hip replacement a year after his stroke and found it too difficult to get in and out of bed. We decided that renting a hospital bed for a short time would help. We called around and found Handi-House had the best pricing. I spoke with Danny from the start and he clearly explained the charges and how things worked with regard to the rental agreement. It was set up the day and time promised. We rented for 4 months and had no problems at all. When we booked for pick up, Robert showed up on the day within the time period specified and removed the bed. Great service and professional people. One thing for the company to note - employees should be provided with ‘booties’ to go over shoes. The bed was in a newly carpeted room and so I was leery of stains. Thanks for the great service.

Highly recommend this place. They definitely put their customers first. My pride chair was not working so I brought in my remote and power supply which Chris tested and determined to be good. He contacted Pride and found a solution to my problem. I have not even bought anything here yet but felt their service deserved a recommendation.
