I got blood test done, ECG, x-rays and ultra sound. Staff was exceptional. The female doctor was fantastic. Staff at the registration need improvement. Security guards need to be more vigilant. There people sleeping in hallway and security guards aren't doing anything unless people complaints, there's people going outside to smoke weed. Some people come in just to have a seat sleep in the warmth and use the washroom to do their needles.. some patients need assistance for the washroom therefore need a personal worker. They repeatedly tell the staff behind the desk for help and they have wait because staff is too busy talking among themselves.

Last Thursday, my mother and my daughter got hit while crossing at a crosswalk by an inattentive truck driver. I ran to the accident site to help deal with my daughter.

She is moderate-severe autistic with a global developmental delay and the paramedic staff treated her exceptionally well! I observed how great they were interacting with her and getting her to calm down. Communicating with her in an effective manner.

The emergency room staff did a great job in assessing my mom and daughter - it is very obvious that the staff are hardworking and professional when dealing with a huge workload (from my observation)! The x-ray technicians were great in their communication to my daughter, as well.

Thank you! ⭐️

I was here in the last couple of days with my 8 month old long story short (but not) went into emerg late at night 10ish staff were lovely and triage nurse made me extremely comfortable and made my baby happy. She was amazing. ( the medical system is broken so already expecting a long wait time not their fault) we got into emergency and wait was obviously long even though we were in a room because there was only one doctor on. once we finally saw the doctor he was informative told us what to look out for and even told us if we were unsure over night to call back anytime when we left he was there to support us and was on until 7 unheard of to me that I would be able to reach out. (I actually heard him on his phone in the hallway prior to him coming in supporting a patients family who had potentially gotten some bad news no confidentiality was breached) but he had went out of his way on a busy ER night to answer this call to provide his knowledge compassion and support to someone who had suffered some grave news was mind blowing to me... anyways we went home things got worse past the time he was still there and we went back as he advised. triage nurse again was amazing so kind informative and compassionate. it was an extremely long wait but once we got back to a room in emerg the staff were nothing short but amazing our RN was extremely versed and compassionate she knew all the things to look for and tests to do for our baby in preparation for our wait to even see a doctor (I wish I got her name but she was the best). I believe we ended up on Dr. Moores service there was a lot going on so names were hard to remember but honestly one of the best ER doctors I have come into contact with she was absolutely amazing with my baby did a complete background although we had already given the info 6+ times she did an extremely thorough assessment and ordered all the correct tests with compassion the entirety of our stay in emerg. she took time out of her busy schedule everytime she walked by us to lay eyes on my son connected with him and even made a balloon out of a glove for him. anyways because of her thoroughness and the advocacy of our RN we finally got referred to peds and within an hour our son had an IV placed by 2 great ER nurses and we were up on the ward. I want to give a shoutout to the amazing nurse that greeted us in the peds unit and ended up almost bringing me to tears with how much she helped and cared. I believe her name was Nancy she was the lead nurse on the unit. She gave us absolutely all the information we could ever need made us feel so comfortable welcome and relieved all of my anxiety and stress from the long 2 days of being in emerg. She went above and beyond to help me support my baby and help me soothe him in the toughest time and made me feel okay with myself and the situation we were in. She helped me rock my sick baby to comfort and the entire time never made me feel guilt for not being able to do it and was talking to my son telling him how good of a job I was doing. I hope she gets recognized and sees this and knows that she relieved so much from me that night and made such a difference.

A well I must say I’ve not sat in the emerge for a long time now. Intake nurse was nice and polite and then the triage nurse was very nice prompt and polite . I never seen an emerge like last night. Lack of space and dirty in a long time. I understand that the system is broken. I understand conservative party screwed the system for the healthcare and hospital and all other staffs in healthcare.
When we finally got to the back after sitting in emerge for 8hrs ish. I understand that they only had one doctor on duty most likely for night shift. Doctor probably overwork with the demands of the patients that were in last night. The young nurse that was doing blood pressure never clean the machines between patients.
Some staff where actually working and some more busy sharing there social time sitting on the nursing desk.
Some staff have to be retrain on PPE that’s my opinion
Doctor came saw us a few times needed more testing just to make sure. I’m glad those test where done tho. Ruling out a few things for us.
I could go on and on.
At the end we got the testing that was needed and to end almost 14hrs plus telling us theirs nothing wrong again.
We made sure to let the doctor know that we did not want to do this last night but it’s the clinic that sent us here and again got dismissed basically saying that the clinic does not know what they’re doing but if there wasn’t a problem, the clinic would not sent us.

Have been in and out of this hospital x9 weeks with my daughter, due to a physician not doing anything about her actual diagnosis of Superior mesenteric artery syndrome. Now we are here again on Tuesday November 21st/24. She is now admitted again, with the same diagnosis .
that doctors in HSN won’t do surgery due to the fact that this surgery is very extensive and danger of dying or severe complications.
Wait times in this hospital are crazy 12-14 hour wait.
To my opinion this 1 site hospital is not working there are patients everywhere in halls in emergency and on units.
Making it a very unsafe space if there was ever a fire.
But the nurses and most doctors are amazing. They are run off there feet working seeing patients on chairs as there are no bed to examine them.
I think someone needs to reexamine what is going on.
We need more space and this problem did not start yesterday.
It’s been going on for years.

Hope you like waiting a long time for even life or death situations. The ER goes down to one doctor over night, so only 1-2 people get seen every hour for a hospital that serves a city of over 180,000.

Hard workers, piss poor management. I was told they could spend $1M investing in a system that could display wait times, but they won't because it would bring to light their abysmal service times.

Placed on a Community treatment order by Dr. Kumar, Dr. Joseph and worker Robert. I need a lawyer to stop it. I tried fighting this order but the lawyer was inexperienced, unprepared and inept. The appeal was literally a clown show. Now I'm forced to go places and see people against my will, ordered only by a doctor with no recourse. Everytime I go to pick up meds, Robert the employee gives me a hassle literally holding my pills back after answering his questions. I had to call the Police just to get pills!!! What is this shadowy operation allowing doctors and staff to act like cops without a badge and force you to do things against your will. Don't I have rights as a Canadian citizen Why can they have police arrest you and force you to complyOn only their words I feel like a prisoner in my own province and have suffered as a result of their behaviour. Now I don't trust doctors, police, the province's law makers. Thanks Trudeau.
