Shout out to this company, their professionalism, their courtesy, their patients, and the amount of effort they put in to finding or getting you exactly what you need.
EDIT/UPDATED REVIEW: Darrin Kisac went above and beyond by helping me navigate the red tape of disability and he was amazing at being patient with me while I hounded this man waiting for parts so that he could do my repair. I have been home bound for MONTHS and Independent Abilities worked tirelessly to help me get my scooter back. He picked it up this morning. Repaired it and dropped it back off to me the same day. And I was in absolute shock surprise and completely elated. Sorry for attacking you with a big hug Darrin LOL.
He has excellent communication. He will respond to you very promptly. He is a good and fair businessman. Who cares about his clients. If ever you need a scooter repaired this is the company you go to. He treats you with respect and kindness, and has a very compassionate understanding of people suffering with disabilities.

I got my first scooter a pride victory 2.0 one year ago . I've been able to get around now with little to no effort . Darren guided me through the process and really went to bat for me . The only thing I would change are the hard rubber tires . The sidewalks in hamilton are unforgiving and I really feel the bumps . Air tires are the way to go , they absorb more of the shock. Overall I'm pleased . 😀 thank you Darren 😊

Thanks to the staff for their great and honest service. I can’t believe I received a product at no cost due to the generosity of a previous client that purchased it and didn’t get to use it. They didn’t want a refund but forwarded the payment to the next client who needed it.

From the moment I talked to Darren on the phone, I knew I had the right business and the right guy !!! We have a Nexus walker and the brakes had failed…again, just being repaired 6 months prior at another mobility business, their answer being wearable parts and not covered, I stressed how unhappy I was with that result , especially paying $270 for the right brakes and similar costs for the left brake 3 months prior to the right brake, but to no avail

Darren took everything under control, called the parts department to find that the walker brakes had failed because they were broken, not just worn and sent parts for the right and left brakes ….FULLY COVERED , mentioning also they should have been warrantied the first time around
So needless to say we are happy customers
Everything was done in a matter of days, professionally and with a nominal labour service fee
We feel we have become “family” and will deal with Darren and Independent abilities from now on for all our mobility needs and have spoken of Darren’s personal service highly to many friends that either need, or know someone that needs help in various lines of mobility
It was so nice to see personal service, responsibility and honesty in a business
We have now ordered a travel buggy and feel confident we will have the same friendly, personal and fast service
