Laura has been my mental health professional for over 6 years. I have referred more friends and family than I can count on my hands and feet. I have been working with Laura for 9 months now. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for 40 years. I have seen several psychiatrists, psychologist and other therapist and I have never had an experience such as I have with Laura. She takes time, makes you feel normal when you have felt very much abnormal. She didn’t just explain my thoughts but why those thoughts were impactful and caused pain. I started seeing Laura five years ago shortly after a suicide attempt. I was amidst a lengthy, painful cycle of hospital and treatment for a life threatening eating disorder. While I have found myself in the walls of therapist offices since the age of 6, I believe there is a reason it is only since Laura I have been able to break that cycle and enter onto a path of true recovery. The level of professionalism offered and maintained through the depth of Laura's space holding is incomparable. The warmth of her being shines through in her ability and eagerness to endlessly support a client back to the safety and wholeness of their innate being. While she is a certified psychotherapist, it is evident the letters beside her name are for no one but the insurance company. And although she takes great pleasure in continuing education - she has a unique approach that honors the journey she herself has walked in this life rather than spewing words learned from a textbook. With this she is able to treat with an approach that dissipates the idea that we were ever broken or wrong. This offering bypassed the power dynamic/dependence previously imposed in therapy settings. It allowed for not solely skill building to cope, but also for a development of the true knowing that the tools needed to overcome and persevere to invite my highest self forward, are already within. Laura is a guide, a teacher above all else - and will show you that you, too, are a teacher. That we are all one; no less, no more than any other who walks this earth. This humble teaching is what has allowed me to come the most into my person and navigate the narratives I carry in regards to myself and the world. She has a true gift of meeting the client where they are and navigating trauma in an informed fashion that does not allow for re-traumatizing. Not only does Laura know how to hold the safest of spaces, she has an art for inviting the individual back to safety within their own body - offering sincere and continuous support with this guidance. Her approach has not only helped disassemble the parts of myself I thought I knew and was so sure about, but has brought me closer to the meaning of why we are all here - and allowing me to find my own place in that. A quote she often reminds me of is 'we are all just walking each other home.' Each session with Laura allows for not only a clearer vision into this perspective, but a resonator of its truth. And for me to choose to stay alive on this earth, this approach was necessary.

I have been working with Laura for nearly 6 months now and it has given me a completely new perspective on therapy! Finding a good fit for a therapist can be a tedious and nerve wracking journey but she made me feel at ease right away. She is compassionate, great at coaching, challenges your thought process in the best way, and provides you a little bit of homework to maintain new habits in daily life. There are a lot of points to check when finding a well rounded therapist and I was lucky to have found her.
A potential downside, just like for any good therapist, there can be a bit of a wait for each appointment which works well for my needs but may not for others. However, after a few appointments, you can book further in advance to potentially get more frequent appointments if needed!
Overall, I highly recommend anyone to see use these services as they’re very welcoming and make the process enjoyable.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone seeking a professional experience. My wife and I both were attending at different points. When my wife needed it the most she was turned away and said she would be passed on to a new counselor. This resulted in a visit to the Mental Health Unit. I highly recommend for you to seek a different place for counselling.
