I bought a ROTO. She broke down so often as almost everytime we used. Their service is really bad.

I own a rotating telehandler from merlo. It breaks down often with different kind of error code. I get it machine do break down. And i accept the mechanical failure, but i can't stand for it constantly break down with electronic. It took me more than 3 weeks to wait for a electronic module that cost 3k itself & 5k to have it reinstalled. This break down has a lot of impact on my business. And this break down is totally not suppose to have. Service guy told me it is the machine brain itself that had problem. After fixing it, there are many times that the different new error code came up no where. And of coz, i need to pay to clear it. The service shop manulift itself charge a lot for its service. And they won't sell parts to other shop. So if you have to repair it, they are the only one to go to. And they are very very $$$.

My next move toward my merlo is to leave it in my yard, it is way cheaper for me to run business by not using it. Everytime i turn on the ignition, i am worry about another machine brain failure.

I bought two Merlo Telehandlers to load trucks in my corrugated pipe business. We bought them mainly because Delta Power Products out of Exeter Ontario was handling the local service and did a very good job at keeping them running. Since Manulift has taken over, we have terrible service, ridiculous bills and they are broken for extended periods while we wait for help. Warranty is non existent, and a fight. I sure wish I could get rid of them without taking a big loss. I would never look at buying another, and would recommend if you are a farmer, stay away from them. I know more people around Huron County like me who are highly unhappy with their Merlo.

If your looking at buying a rotating tele-handler go right to magni or manitou the support of merlo is helpless. If you want a $400k machine that you want laying around as a paperweight be my guest and buy green.

The worst machine . Brand new machine and breaks so easy . They fixed for a week o maybe two . And again check engine come up . 350$ just to plug in to the computer . I sold my JLG. For this pcs garbage. I loose money . But im back to my JLG .. the best . Don’t waste u money like i did .
