Tried calling to make an appointment for family doctor, was on hold for 8 mins, the lady answered “hello?” Then immediately hung up as I was speaking. I called back, on hold for 8 more minutes, then it just hung up without anyone answering. Should be renamed “m disconnect”. The other 2 times I went was thoroughly disappointing as well, listen to the majority 0 star reviews and don’t even bother coming here.

A embarrassment to Rexall and to the medical profession The very worst experience with the medical profession that I have had in 65 years. A sign outfront states “In person Doctor Available”
I was told it would be a 20 minute wait and I waited for 90 minutes. Then I finally came in and was told that it was a remote appointment. How can a doctor properly diagnose a severed sore throat remotely. This service is an absolute joke !

Unreliable and no respect to your time. I booked an appointment for a phone appointment because I am travelling abroad and waited for their call and ended up being rescheduled an hour later without letting me know. If I didn’t opened my account online, I wouldn’t know that they rescheduled it. Then I have waited again. I emailed them but no response. Almost 2 hours of waiting then my status online is tagged as “No Show”. Super disappointed with the service. Also, the last time I went there, the doctor that checked my lab results told me to repeat it but she never gave me any paper that i can show to the laboratory. So I ended up wasting my time on going there.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the recent handling of my appointment with Dr. Wen Xiao Wei. Today, I received a direct message to my phone at 9:45 AM confirming my appointment for the day, only to receive a cancellation notice at 9:51 AM without any valid reason provided. This lack of communication is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.

This incident marks the second time within a short span where my appointment has been abruptly canceled without prior notice. I promptly called the office seeking clarification.

I am deeply troubled by the disregard for my time and inconvenience caused. I had made arrangements to leave work early to attend this appointment, and the sudden cancellation has not only disrupted my schedule but has also wasted valuable time and resources.

It is essential for medical professionals to uphold standards of communication and respect for their patients' time. If the clinic is unable to accommodate new patients, it should be transparent about its limitations rather than subjecting individuals to such disorganized and disrespectful treatment.

Furthermore, I have filled out the necessary forms on two separate occasions, expecting a smooth and professional service. However, the recurring lack of communication and last-minute cancellations have left me deeply disappointed.

Update:

I recently received a call from your clinic, but it was only after I had left a Google review expressing my disappointment. This isn't the first time I've experienced a last-minute cancellation without any direct communication. The lack of direct contact is frustrating, especially considering the time and effort it takes for me to commute to your clinic, which is almost an hour away.

While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, it's essential that when appointments are cancelled last minute, patients are contacted directly. Simply relying on an automated email, which may easily be overlooked or end up in the junk folder isn't sufficient especially when it is on the same day. The email was sent few minutes after I have received an appointment confirmation to my cellphone

Furthermore, contrary to what it is mentioned, no one offered an earlier appointment; it was simply cancelled.

Thank you, I think I will pass on rescheduling.

My girlfriend got a text confirmation for an appointment. When we showed up for the appointment we showed the text to the receptionist she basically acted like we had no appointment. We both took our day off work for this and she basically told us we may not be seen or we'd have to wait hours. We both showed the text and said we got the confirmation and the receptionist was rude and said to wait. She will call us. She then followed up by saying they don't call customers. Leaving us confused and frustrated. I do NOT recommend this clinic.

Edit: My doctor is great as usual. She's nice and clearly works hard. However, their admin is god-awful. I'm astonished by their blatant negligence. I don't know if this is even legal.

Firstly, my doctor tried to fax my prescription twice, and neither of the times worked. I believe that's an issue on their system and not the doctor (2nd time she tried to send it in front of me).

After the first fax failure, I emailed them twice asking for help. The first one was ignored. After sending the second email (which I sent 10 days after), they just told me to book a chat appointment, which doesn't work due to a technical issue on their website. I communicated this problem, and it was ignored. Again. I had to make an in-person appointment because of this. This is when my doctor tried to fax the second time, only to find out that my phermacy didn't receive it.

Because of this I haven't received my medication for 3 weeks. And I have to leave the country tomorrow for 1.5 months.

My phermacy called them, the clinic said they'll let the doctor know to resolve this. Nothing happened. So I called the clinic yesterday and explained the situation and that I need the medication by today. I was told they'll call me back. They didn't. So I emailed them again (it was my FORTH time contacting them). I even wrote the medication name and my medical condition so that anyone who reads it can understand how important it is. And I clarified my phermacy info in case it was regestered incorrectly. Despite my effort, I was ignored again.

At this point this is clearly a negligence. Is this even legal? I'm currently looking into ways to file a complaint properly. I can't wrap my head around how I ended up in this situation by such a simple error that could be corrected easily.

This has been incredibly stressful and heartbreaking. I also feel bad for my doctor because despite her effort to care for her patients, the admin is ruining the reputation of this clinic.

Also their md connected website is not at all reliable. There have been several technical issues and it doesn't allow me to make an appointment through it (I've tried on multiple devices).

Luckily, my phermacy gave me the medication for the duration of my travel after I explained my situation (especially considering their request to the clinic was also ignored). It's only been a couple of months since I started coming here, but I think I will have to look for another clinic after I return from the trip.

For those reasons, I changed my rating from 5 to 1. Again, I like my doctor and I have zero problem with her. It's solely because of how this clinic is run.

Original review:

This is my first time getting a family doctor, and i had meet and greet with Dr. Magerman. She was very nice and caring.

My appointment ended up around 30 mins late, but it looked like a busy day and I'd rather have a doctor who take their time with their patients. When it was my turn she apologised for the delay, and I didn't feel rushed at all. She booked me in for a phone call the next day and prescribed me medication. I've always heard negative experiences with family doctors from people around me, so I was very surprised how pleasant it was.

When I heard this clinic was accepting patients for a family doctor, I was relieved and looked forward to a new family doctor. My first visit wasn't bad, and it's amazing that they have a Life Labs right next to the clinic which makes getting blood work easy.

The service after I had left the clinic was awful. I had an ultra sound booked in January 2024 which I completed and waited for the results. I didn't get phoned back to discuss the results for 3 months. I started phoning the clinic, and each time I phoned they'd tell me they'll handle it, or will get someone to call me back. Nobody has called me back! I've called 3 times this week, and still NOTHING. These results are very important for me, especially considering what I am going through monthly with PCOS/ endometriosis.

Please do better. A person's health isn't a joke. Call your patients back when you say you will. I shouldn't have to go out of my way to ask for my results, when I know this isn't the normal procedure.

I was so happy after almost 2 years on Health care connect’s waiting list to finally be connected here for a family doctor. I took time off work and came from 45 minutes away and when I arrived they told me my appointment was cancelled. When I checked my phone I saw they called me only 25 minutes before my appointment (after I had already left)

The receptionist said there was no other doctor to see me and the best she could do was offer to rebook me. I declined because I’m not going to risk coming across town again for a last minute cancellation…
