I was searching for an addiction rehab near Toronto for a loved one, and after researching multiple facilities, we decided to reach out to Metamorphosis Centre for Change. From the very first phone call, their team was compassionate, professional, and truly understood the urgency of the situation. What really stood out was the personalized care and support. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all program, the staff genuinely took the time to understand my loved one’s needs and created a treatment plan that made sense for them. The environment is clean, private, and peaceful… definitely feels like one of the best private addiction centres in Ontario. The therapists and counselors are incredibly knowledgeable, and there’s a strong focus on both mental health and long-term recovery. I also appreciated how they involved the family in the process, it made a huge difference.

If you’re looking for a trustworthy addiction rehab in Ontario, I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. It changed our lives.

I can't express in words how grateful I am to have gone to Metamorphosis. The staff and fellow clients have made a tremendous impact on me and my outlook on life. Meta has helped me formulate a new start in my life for the better, and for that, I am forever thankful. My primary counselor Rick was exactly the person I needed to put me in the right direction. Not dismissing any of the other staff, who were all kind and understanding people, there to help and make a positive change in everyone who has passed through those doors. This facility was one of the most unprofessional and dishonest places I have ever dealt with. I was promised 12 one-on-one sessions as part of my treatment. I only received five, and three of those only happened because I repeatedly chased staff to make them happen.

The official records about my stay were filled with misleading and false statements — including claims that I “walked out” of group sessions, when in reality, the two times I left early, I had direct permission from the counselors.

The most disturbing part? They shared personal information about me with my ex husband without my consent. This was a complete violation of my trust and my privacy, and something I believe should never happen in a professional treatment setting.

If you value your recovery, your privacy, and your dignity, I urge you to look elsewhere. This facility failed me in every possible way, and I would never recommend it to anyone.

Metamorphosis is the best way to describe this place because You WILL come out of here as a changed individual.
From the cooking staff, the counsellors, the nurses, owners, students, peers and everything in between - The people and this center will leave you with the great strength to face sobriety.

I went into this rehab as a broken soul... no hope left to live. I stayed for the 30 days and everyday was a growing experience. Thru my incredible main counsellors Jenn and Jeff <3 I was able to overcome my demons, trauma and have hope for change. The activities, classes, the incredible food, the mindfulness, the motivation, the new way of life you learn to live with and be happy with is priceless. This rehab center is a life long sober friend, you gain access to lifelong classes, new friends and check-ins from your counsellors after you leave. The access to a psychotherapist, psychiatrist, riki, massage, tai chi, yoga, weight room, counseling, art therapy, music therapy, AA, SMART recovery, and so much more. All of this is freeing to learn who you are and gives you the tools for success. If you are struggling , and need HELP , please don't hesitate to call this place and at least take a tour to see how they can assist you. I attended the center in October of 2024, and I’ll never forget my first day. I was assisted by Vicky Reid one of the councillors. Instantly she felt like a mom to me. I felt at home welcomed and I knew this was the right place. I adjusted very well and every staff member was truly amazing right down to the cooks and cleaning staff. It’s all what you make it and if your willing to put into the work, there program works! I had an amazing experience, loved the classes as they were from experience and not just books like the other rehabs I went to. It was a family feeling. The food is amazing. I’m 8 months sober and had attended 2 rehabs and nothing compares to metamorphosis! Definitely will be attending their summer bbq!

The overall environment is welcoming and non-judgmental, which made a huge difference in my recovery. For anyone in Toronto or surrounding areas looking for help, this center is worth considering. Although it’s located just outside the city, it’s easily accessible, making it an excellent alternative to a traditional addiction rehab Toronto setting.

I don’t even where to start… from the first day walking through those doors in tears, as a severely depressed and emotionally/mentally broken person. I was very skeptical and couldn’t bring myself to think I could change or “get better”… Committing to the Metamorphosis program literally saved my life as I was in my darkest times and felt like I was about to give up and let the darkness take my life. Within my 30 days, I obtained new life skills, tools to use to better myself, made incredible new friends, and got back on a healthier track, diet and fitness wise. ALL of the onsite counsellors are beyond amazing at what they do. Really getting to know everyone and understand our own personal struggles to help with coping skills and overcoming any challenge we wanted to overcome. I feel blessed and forever grateful to have had an amazing self transformation thanks to everyone that guided and helped me with my journey. Frank & Chris.. I can’t thank you enough for creating the most amazing place for someone to feel so safe and cared for while in transition for a better life. Metamorphosis will forever be a part of me!

First off, I'd like to thank Frank & Chris for starting such a wonderful place to help those in need. I stayed a month at Meta after many, many years of physical abuse, and a debilitating car accident that just pushed me over the edge. The facilities are clean, the food is amazing, the nurses are all wonderful (shout out to Tam Tam the night nurse, and Sedonia, you ladies made me feel so welcome!). They give each patient 2 councilors, a primary and a secondary. My primary was Vicky. She may seem a little rough around the edges, but that woman has a heart of gold. She was and still to this day, is there whenever I need her. Just a phone call away. Jeff, my secondary, is the easiest person I've ever spoken to. I told him my entire life's story, which I had never shared in full with ANYONE, let alone some guy I'd just met. He is one in a million, and anyone who gets either of them should count themselves lucky. You are also given a doctor, psychiatrist, and psychotherapist. They match you with who they think you will vibe with the most. All 3 of mine were dead on. If you do happen to get someone you don't click with, just ask, and you will be assigned a new one. The centre tailors the program to each person's individual needs. They cover everything, mentally, spiritually, and body. 2 nights a week, they do NA or AA. These are not mandatory for those who do not vibe with the whole God thing, so they have a separate class run by usually Jeff, which is based on your own spiritual beliefs. This place is like no other rehabilitation center I've ever heard of or encountered. They actually care about YOU as an individual, as opposed to their success rates (which is why I beleive their success rate is SO HIGH) I'd like to add a few special mentions to councilors who were not mine, but still helped me in ways I will never forget. Rick, the lead councilor, is an amazing, no bullshit type of guy, and I think we need more people like him in this world. Troy, even though he was off sick for a week and a half while I was there, ran some of the best groups ever and helped me with some paperwork I didn't quite understand. Sarah is just an angel, always there with a smile on her face, willing to help you with anything you need. Gina, the new intern, is just amazing. She brought us to the beach countless times, and we had some wonderful chats. Jenn had some amazing classes as well, and I learned quite a bit from her. I now need to go purchase copper rods to read people's energy circles 😅 that class was so cool! There are a couple more who's names I can't think of off the top of my head, but I love you all, and thank you again, from the bottom of my heart! I would also like to thank Adam the maintenance guy for escorting us to Tim Hortons on our daily walks, and for the great conversations we always had, as well as Kerri at the front desk who greeted me with a smile every morning. Also, Teresinha in the kitchen, who was always praying for us, Kwan and Richard the chefs for the amazing food and conversation, and Joyce. And Elizabeth, I hope she's healing well from her injury. I miss her bumping the 2Pac at 8 a.m., lol. I will definitely be back as an alumni for the BBQ, not as a patient. I want to finish off by saying there is not a single person on staff who you can't relate to on some level. This makes it feel like home.
