I have never been more disappointed by a service in my life. I was postdates and I was really brutalized at the hospital. My midwives didn't help advocate for me. My ob was initiating a painful procedure without pain medicine or consent (his notes state it wasnt an emergency) and as i was injuring myself, squiming to get away from this guy, the midwife just told me to stop moving. No empathy. I have never felt more alone in my life. Really empty service.

It was an amazing experience with midwives. I approached them around my third trimester still they accepted me. I was in team C, all the midwives of this team- Carol, Susana and Allison are very kind and supportive. Due to some complications, I had the C section, they were with me even in the OT. After the delivery they came to see me and my baby at home. They helped me a lot in the breastfeeding and other stuff related to the baby and always gave me a very detailed description of everything. Thank you so much to team C and the receptionist Stacey, who is also very kind.

I can’t recommend the Sarnia Midwives enough! They have delivered 2 of my babies and I’m so eternally grateful for them and their knowledge! Every single appt they listened carefully and always made me feel supported. My first birth was an induction and they were there for it all supporting me in hospital, my second birth was the most amazing and relaxing home birth that I owe all to my midwives! As a first time mom those first few house visits in the early days meant everything to me as we learned how to care for our baby. Their help was phenomenal. From reassurance, medical concerns, breastfeeding, tips and tricks - they are there and it feels so good to have that help freshly postpartum. From the reception staff- to the midwives they are all so friendly and wonderful to work with! Sarnia is SO lucky to have this in our community! Thank you Bonnie and Lindsay!!!!!

It was really a wonderful experience with sarnia midwifery services throughout my pregrancy and postpartum care.
I was in team C, both Jessica and Lindsay Ottens served me very politely and gratefully.they always listen me very carefully. They always answered my phone calls and provides me great emotional support during my postpartum. I had c- section and due to infection there were drainage from my incisons. They used to come to my home every single day to change my dressing. I would like to thank you both from my bottom of heart for their great help and services. One student midwife Kallen was also with them everytime. She is also very caring and nice. Thank you Kallen for everything.

Terrible experience. Unprofessional. Not enough medical training.
At 30 weeks I accidentally slipped on ice which caused pre term labor that I was almost taken to London to deliver my baby and my midwife DID NOT think it was necessary to do an ultrasound to ensure my baby's health during that hospital stay.  My baby and I were both just lucky that no serious complications followed since nobody thought it important to check on my unborn child.
Following my delivery, the midwife that did my home visits came into my home on day 4 after birth, and although told me the first 3 days that colostrum was sufficient to feed my child, the 4th day told me I was starving my child and that she would be obligated to call Children's Services on me for not properly caring for my newborn. Sent me into stores on New Years day begging for someone to let me buy formula when she had the means to direct me to the hospital instead who could've helped me. Instead of triggering a huge post partum depression by making me feel inadequate as a parent to my newborn.

Contacted them to get information with my second pregnancy where they dismissed my concerns from my previous experience and even said that I wasn't really in pre term labor and that the woman that came into my home, and insulted my parenting as well as the appearance of my child by saying she had elephant skin, and did not suggest a remedy. They said she no longer worked so it was of no concern. Would not let me cancel my initial appointment when I was taken into OB care as they thought I was being silly by going that direction instead of staying in their practice. Regardless if that 1 midwife doesn't work there anymore, it's unsettling to think such behavior was accepted and employable for however long she was there and how do you trust the other people employed there when someone like that was entrusted by them with something as delicate as pregnancy.

I can not say enough about how wonderful the Sarnia Midwives are. I was on Team B, Bonnie & Rebecca, and they were great. I always felt like I was in good hands with their care. During my labour Bonnie was amazing getting me through each contraction (no epidural) with her doula techniques. It helped so much!! And my son was safely brought into this world. Then Rebecca was so caring and understanding when I was having a postpartum anxiety moment during one of the at home visits. They made me feel like I could call/ text them anytime with any concerns.
