Happy with my present family doctor but this clinic opened up recently and waitlist was open for a female family physician and so I thought why not try this place? NOPE!

Booked my intake appointment two months prior for myself and my 5 month old child. Baby's appointment was at 1:50PM and my appointment was at 2:10PM. I arrive at the appointment and receptionist #1 has the most difficult time finding my appointment and proceeds to ask me if I'm sure I'm at the correct clinic. Receptionist #2 and #3 chime in to tell her how to look up a patient. Receptionist #1 hasn't even asked for my health cards. I provide them to her and receptionist #3 comes to help her and they have a conversation amongst themselves saying that my child's appointment is at 2PM and my appointment is at 3:30PM. Receptionist #3 says well she can wait for an hour and a half or come back. I correct them to let them know the correct times for my appointments. They completely disregard this. Receptionist #2 decides to be helpful and goes to ask the doctor if we can both be seen for this appointment. She returns and tells me that only one of us can be seen. I choose to have my baby seen.

We see the doctor who was lovely by the way. The doctor tells me that the appointment was actually changed yesterday without notifying me and that there was an assumption made that both me and my son were not related cause we didn't have the same last name. The doctor apologized for the incompetent staff at the front and indicated this has been a consistent issue at the clinic.

The very least these receptionists could've done is acknowledge that they effed up but instead receptionist #2 came to me suggesting that the doctor said only one patient can be seen when actually what happened was receptionist #2 and the doctor went into the system and saw the appointment was changed last minute without notification.

Complete disregard for another person's time and effort. If you're going to be a complete a-hole, why be a receptionist at a medical clinic where folks are walking with all types of vulnerabilities?!

This doctor was actually incredible but we won't be back. The front desk is a nightmare at most clinics but this is a whole other level of incompetency and extremely rude staff.

If you can find another clinic with family doctors, I would recommend you go there. The doctors themselves are fine, but the administration sucks. They never pick calls, reply to emails, or respond to voicemails. The receptionists have no compassion but a lot of attitude. I’ve been a family patient here for 4 months and have only met the doctor once in person and every other time through phone. Which is absurd because I have a condition that my family doctor needs to do a physical check for.
I would recommend going to a walk-in instead and saving yourself some time.

Dr. Eshan Samiee is my new family doctor and he is amazing! He truly shows he cares for his patients and I'm so happy with him! He has shown amazing care for my kids.
The office is clean and receptions are nice. Doctors are efficient in taking in patients. You don't have to wait a long time to get seen.

My husband and I recently moved to Durham and were looking for a new family doctor and found Priority Health Clinic. I arrived for my first scheduled appointment at 1:30pm and checked in. They told me to take a seat and that a nurse would come escort me. After waiting for 30 minutes and watching clients that came after me get escorted inside, I decided to ask the front desk how long it will take for my appointment. They said that the doctor is with someone and that they will take me in shortly. I went back to take a seat and waited for a total of 45 minutes. I informed the front desk that I am unable to wait any longer as I came for this appointment during my lunch break at work. They informed me that there is a system glitch but they had messaged the doctor. I will not be returning to this clinic.

The other reviews written here are accurate - do not waste your time. Save yourself the time and energy and find another clinic.

My first visit with Doctor Soroardy was great, she was attentive and kind when listening to my medical history and getting to know me.

Unfortunately after an error on their end, my name wasn’t in the cue to be called up and I ended up waiting an hour before I went back up to reception to clarify what was going on. This was annoying, but the staff I’ve spoken to (on various occasions now) have all been extremely kind.

Also worth mentioning, a week before I became a patient here, I went to another walk in clinic where an ultrasound showed a simple cyst on my ovary. The doctor told me it was too early to worry and to wait 6 weeks and then do a follow up ultrasound to track its size and that would determine the course of action. I advised that I had a new family doctor and he suggested I fax over the requisition to them to have the follow up done. Instead of booking me in for the follow up ultrasound, they had me come in after work to speak to a doctor about my results, and only then could I go ahead and make the follow up appointment. I’m sure this was solely for billing purposes but it was a complete waste of my time for something that could potentially be time sensitive- when I don’t have flexibility on when I can make time for multiple appointments due to my work schedule. I would have appreciated a more direct, simple approach to booking an appointment for my follow up ultrasound, and I don’t feel like my health was being prioritized.

Especially in cold and flu season, I think it would be in most peoples interest to have phone appointments for something as menial as this, as I spoke to the walk-in doctor for about 60 seconds and received the exact same follow up requisition form as I had from 6 weeks ago.

Since my family moved to the Durham region, we had no family doctor. Thanks to the nurse, Ms. Christine's help, we found the best clinic finally.
Dr. Samiee was kind and professional. The system was organized. The messaging service is efficient.
Highly recommend this clinic.

I’ve just been transferred to this clinic and it was a great first time experience. Dr. Sharon was very welcoming and approachable with any questions I had, and the front desk staff were so helpful. Looking forward to this being my family practice!

Dr Samiee is the best doctor I've had. He makes you feel like your concerns are important and I've never felt rushed during an appointment. Also, Sandra at the front desk is extremely helpful anytime I've needed help with anything. My experience as a patient here has been great.
