I find it interesting, you have a chest pain you get in right away for a possible heart attack, but you have a very good chance for arterial bleeding, due to surgery that day, and you wait. I would have come in by ambulance, but 911 informed me of a 60min waiting period. Using lack of medical staff is no longer an excuse. Military has used the term 'do more with less'. Thinking civilians can use the same concept.

Almost 12+ hours for my elderly mom to get three staples and a Cat Scan from a fall. Not 12 hrs of service or a room but 12 hrs of being ignored in a waiting room. Every time they came out they lied saying it would be "anytime now" or "very soon" for hours to go by. Then after 10 hours they took her alone into a room telling all family to stay in the waiting room for over an hour. Try so hard to be understanding and patient but this is ridiculous. My mother left so tired and stressed out with a mental breakdown and said she'd rather die than go through that again.

Interesting how they seem to care more for the middle classes and could care less about the poor as well I have noticed a degree of rasicm towards myself as well as other native folks this hospital is a pathetic excuse for a hospital. Many times I've gone in over the yrs for treatment regarding something or other and always left shaking my head and wondering why I even bother. They seem to pick and choose who they are giving decent care too and anyone else GOOD FN LUCK this hospital should be just closed down I mean why not bgh seems to take it all from themanyway leaving them picky and choosy on who they care for and who they dont

Unfortunately we've visited here more than we'd like especially for our toddler, and her doctor not having the greatest availability, as well as not having a family doctor ourselves since moving here 2.5 years ago.

Staff we've dealt with are all great and attentive. Make sure to see the triage nurse first to get your vitals and before registering. Use the telephone on the wall by the waiting area to let them know you're there as they're not always at their station, basically read the signs so you're not waiting longer than you should.

Had a dehumanizing experience with Dr. Baker taking over my care over night in emergency. He dismissed my concerns, did not examine me himself, did not ask about my pain or condition and walked out when my partner tried to advocate for my “female problems”. I was dismissed in pain and treated with negligence.

Waited 5 hours to be treated like a ghost. About 10 people were in and out before my husband was even called in . We felt forgotten and uncared for . A clinic dr sent him to the er told him he needed to seen and to have test done . People were walking in and getting called in and leaving . I cannot believe this happened . I cannot believe the treatment he just got. Terrible ! He has no faith in our health care system and this just made it so much worse .
