Wouldn't recommend for trans youth. The doctor won't listen to concerns and then changes dosages without letting you know and when confronted front desk told me to wait til my next appointment which was a month away. Dr. Massarella changed my dosage drastically and they wanted me to wait a month for answers. Now I'm waiting for them to send my file to family doctor's which I'm sure will take a couple months because thats about the pace they take with everything. To have my concerns heard I had a friend called the office on behalf and finally got my hormone blockers. I would even bother going back.

I've got only good things to say about Quest. From the front desk staff to the nurse practitioners, and Dr. Mottiar herself, they've all been terrific. The Doctor is caring and knowledgeable and always calls with my monthly blood work results. I am truly grateful.

As a trans person it's really good that I did all my research beforehand. The doctor gave me a bland/vague once over about the hormones affects etc. I already knew all of this and more.

I was started on a very low dosage, which isn't a bad thing. But it's been a year and I've noticed almost no changes and have been requesting for an increase. To do so I was told to call the receptionists and ask them to fax bloodwork to a lab. They don't pick up. The fact that the doctor sends me to the front desk for something so simple? Whatever.

Also at the beginning I expressed the desire for top surgery. Since I've been on T for almost a year I should be viable. I call doctor about it (had to wait several months for 3 minute appointment) and I was again told to call reception and ask for an appointment with a nurse practitioner.

It's been several weeks and I'm not getting my calls returned.

Very disappointing. I struggle with depression, anxiety, bpd/did, and ptsd. My anxiety and stress over my transitioning is more than it should be considering I'm the one that has to make an appointment and talk to a doctor just to be told to call reception. And then calls are not returned.

It's honestly depressing. An already difficult transition made twice as hard because of the lack of care and interest the staff have for a patient.

Male to Female Transitional care is not accessible to all walks of life. You need to be pretty wealthy to transition. It costs up to 20k out of pocket in your first year alone. That is a low estimate also. Electrolysis and Adams apple surgery is not covered. Only HRT IS COVERED JN THEBFORM OF A PILL. This is why the Liberal health care system wants to target your 18 and under kids. It is cheaper to transition at a young age. No trans person knows what they are till 22 at the minimum, look up mental maturity rates. None of this is new knowledge. Yall are playing God and failing miserably. Just wait for the 100's of trans backs soon to come.

Always had a great experience with everyone here; whether it be a receptionist, a nurse, the nurse practitioner or doctor. The only issue I've had so far is one of my calls not being returned. Niagara is very lucky to have a LGBTQIA-specific healthcare provider.

EDIT: I recommend calling early in the morning, within the first couple hours after they open. If you end up calling them during their lunch break, or you get sent to voicemail, don't bother leaving a message and just call again at a later time.

This place has changed my life. I've worked with an outreach worker who is working their butt off to help me when I'm a total wreck, a nurse practitioner who has since moved to another practice who was the first to listen to me about a lot of things, a councillor who helped me so much, and now a new nurse practitioner who I am looking forward to getting to know. It is sometimes difficult to get a hold of the front desk, but I've had my calls returned promptly as of late.

Not accommodating to patients needs. There is patient rights and mission posted on the wall. But when you walk in. Mostly you are not respected, not heard at all. I booked time off work come to seek for help, but instead of client centred care, they send you home with some blood work and ask you to come back again…….
