Doctors are great. Receptionists…. Absolutely terrible. Every time. Rude, unprofessional, careless. It’s ridiculous and I’m fed up. If you hate your job, don’t take it out on sick patients.

The one star I am giving is because I actually like my doctor it is the office staff that is the worst!!

They desperately need someone to train them on customer service. I have been a patient here for several years and it’s always the same issues. The communication is greatly lacking or maybe there are some prejudices there.

I would not recommend and I am currently looking for a different doctor.

Seriously such a badly run office. Male doctors don't even listen to female patients. Everything is pushed off as hormones and anxiety. I dont even know why I bother still going. I go to walk in clinics because it is also absolutely impossible to get an appointment as I work full time too then they threaten to take me off of their list of patients.
Save yourself the time and go to a walk in or find a different family doctor who takes your concerns serious.

Booking your appointment ONLINE. It works awesome. Avoid calling to book your next appointment you can literally see it. Available from the website itself. This is a game changer. Thank you for putting this in your system it saves my time and relieves phone calls from admin desk. Thank you for making things better

Absolutely ridiculous how this office is run.
I received a call from my doctors office yesterday and was told that a prescription was going to be sent over to the pharmacy at No Frills right away. Drove almost a half hour today to pick it up just to be told they don't have it.
So I called the doctors office from No Frills and of course was put on hold.
40 minutes later I decided to drive to the Doctors office while my phone was still on hold.
Thinking it must be very busy there.
There was not 1 patient in the place and the 2 girls working there were sitting around doing absolutely nothing.
Laughing and giggling. Its hard to get good help these days. I asked to speak to my doctor or a supervisor about them and was told that no one else was there that I could speak too.
So I left a message with them to make sure I get a call from my doctor so I can speak to him about this.
I certainly won't hold my breath waiting.

The nurses and doctors that our family have dealt with have been great, however, the receptionists are very rude, cold, and the most unhelpful people ever. It's sad that they just don't seem to care about the patients and treat them as an inconvenience. I think Shelburne Centre for Health needs to re-evaluate their hiring practices when they hire for this position and get some friendlier staff in there that actually give a damn about the patients and their health concerns.

Dr McCann and staff at SCFH are a godsend to me. Dr McCann takes the time to listen to my health concerns and responds appropriately. I feel she is an exceptional doctor with a wonderful bedside manner. Her and her team display a high level of professionalism. Truly satisfied with every visit.

I wish I could say that things had improved...
Sadly that isn't the case.
When I need to see my doctor I have to wait however long they are telling me to for an appointment.
If they need me to come in for blood work or if I miss an appointment I get a call the next day to tell me that I will be charged 35.00 for missing the appointment.
And if I don't get the blood work done as soon as they want me to, my prescription is either not being renewed or only renewed for 1 month.
Usually it's 3 months.
All in all, my doctor is rarely available when I need to see him, and yes, I understand he sees more patients than just myself.
Scheduling his appointments is poor.
