I have mixed emotions about this practice. They’re accommodating, and quick to book you in ASAP, and even brought me in for an emergency exam the same day I called (I’ll get back to that later). The hygienists I’ve dealt with have all been very nice and talkative as well. The office administrators/receptionists are all super friendly and helpful. I’ve been to the office 4 times, the first one was great. The second one I had a filling done, which went well except for the assistant being rude at the beginning of the appointment before the dentist came in. The third was a cleaning and exam, which went very well. They’re super thorough with cleaning and the exam which is awesome. The fourth time was not so great. This was the emergency exam I had mentioned earlier in the review. As I said, they were prompt with bringing me in same day, which was amazing. I have two big issues with this appointment. The first is that the dentist was far too focused on being fast, which can be a good thing, but not this time. I went in because I literally can’t eat on my right side due to cold, heat and pressure pain/sensitivity. I was told that nothing was wrong diagnostically, which I don’t believe can be the case given how much pain and sensitivity I’m experiencing. To be fair, he did say I could have a root canal done, and it would be “somewhat justified” based on my pain/sensitivity, so there is that. He also only spoke about my cold sensitivity, and made no mention of my heat or pressure sensitivity. My second big issue is that he slammed the door on the way out once he was done. I understand he’s in a high stress job, and he was very busy that day, but these are no excuse to do something like that. I can’t understand how that could be acceptable in a professional setting, especially in front of a patient.

All in all, I’ve had 3 great experiences, and 1 poor experience. Based on my experience today, I’ve changed dentists within the office. If I have another similar experience with my new dentist I will be leaving the practice altogether, which would be a shame because I do really like the office team, and hygienists. If the dentist would like to reach out and have a conversation about the door slamming, I’d be open to it. I could have misinterpreted it, but as of right now I don’t believe I did.

So far I would recommend this practice based on the hygienists and office staff alone.

If you’re looking for an amazing dentist Shelburne Smile is it! From the moment you enter the door and you’re greeted by the friendly receptionist to sitting in the chair getting a cleaning or work done!
Today I brought my 3 year old for the first time knowing she had to get a cavity filled. I was so nervous for her and how this visit was going to go. Dr.Ben was amazing with her, made her laugh, acted silly so she would feel comfortable. She didn’t even realize when he had to freeze her mouth (I thought she was going to freak out) once her mouth was frozen he had her ready to go in 10 minutes tops! She was so happy to have her first visit! Thank you so much to all the amazing staff making the dentist fun for my family!

We had an AMAZING EXPERIENCE I am extremely happy we decided to go with Shelburne Smiles Centre!! Everyone was extremely friendly. Best part was how kind and patient they were with my boys! (3 and 1) If you are looking for a Dentist that won’t give your child nightmares this is the place to go!!

I recently visited this dental clinic and had a great experience. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the staff made the whole family feel comfortable. What impressed me the most was how family-friendly the clinic is. They took the time to entertain my kids while I was in my appointment, which was a huge help. Shelburne Smile Centre has the friendliest staff and I really appreciate the positive attitudes and great conversations I have had with them all. The staff have been very gentle when doing cleanings and minor work on my teeth. I appreciate my questions being answered no matter how big or small they are to help me feel informed and comfortable. My son (3yrs old)first time at the dentist .The dental hygienist showed him all the tools, took extra care to make him feel comfortable. They let him pick out a toy after his cleaning . Made it a great experience for him . Great team all around A+

Amazing staff & dentists, had an extraction and it was very quick, effortless and not painful at all. Really made sure that the freezing worked so to not feel anything. Excellent job and all very friendly and welcoming would highly recommend
