Great experience. Very happy with the service. I'm a license TSSA contractor and this company is safe. I could not be happier. The technician was also very polite and courteous. He went through the whole home. Checked every appliance. He did his job to a tee. Thank you sparlings for providing exactly what you said you would. Perfect service.

So.... I was excited to come home to my new propane install today.....
Now I've always been on the understanding that when any work is done that things get put back to as close as they were?
Now I know the excavation had to go through a small garden to get to the wall....
But to leave the weed barrier rolled in a ball under a nearby tree, and the steps (that were put in originally for the oil fill) just thrown on the dirt rocking like a bad grocery cart is not acceptable.
To ad to damage.... The tank was installed 20 feet....yes feet! Off the agreed location... It now pokes out to the edge of my walkway!
At the site meet we agreed centre of the concrete well head (more or less centred on the fence post) and gas line routed around the well head onto the house. I asked if he wanted it marking/staking "no we don't need that" clearly they did.
If you are having an install done by these guys make sure to take pics, measurements and use email for all of it....mark you site very clearly. Or you will have a garden to fix and a tank to trip over for the rest of its rental like me.
Oh yeah....they also got my name wrong on my bill!

*EDIT we have got to know other techs and were grumpy or lied , Just wish he didn’t quit* Writing to inform that we at Antrim glen miss the technician Jackson!! Never a complaint after he serviced us for 5 years and being highly recommended in the park. Plus out of all the drivers/ techs and even supervisors he always made sure to say hi and wave if any of us were out and about in the park. NOT THE SAME WITHOUT HIM.

This company USED to be awesome. Local reps that would come out to see you and they were flexible about waiving tank rentals and bumping you to a better price point. Now corporate owners have taken away all but the local drivers. Gas prices are significantly higher than other companies. They make you feel like you are small potatoes compared to their big customers and bump you into a higher price category. $420 pickup charge and $195 to remove gas to remove tank if you decide to change to another company, trapping you into their system. Not impressed and looking for another supplier after 20 years. Don’t get sucked in by a promotion. Companies like Primax are a better choice.

DO not use this Propane company. I bought a house with them as the Propane provider and after getting one bill and finding out that there rates are more then double that of there competitors. I decided to switch then they try charging me 470 to pick up there own tank . I told them I want to talk to a service manager before they pick it up but after months of unanswered calls they picked it up without telling me . I will be looking at pressing trespassing charges as they entered my property against my will on a day when I was not home . This is truly a horrible company stay way from them at all costs !!!

Like other reviewers, Sparlings used to be a reliable and customer focused organization. Since being purchased and operating under Parkland Fuels it has been completely unreliable, often leading to very dangerous situations as tanks run dry. Concerns are never managed by customer service and often not understood by them and they are NEVER followed up, they just pass the requests on and it’s 50/50 if you ever get action on your request. The Parkland Fuels customer service model has failed miserably. The importance of “local” site based service as was the case with Sparlings prior to takeover needs to be reinstated. The only way we have been able to ever get a response and service is to escalate to a site supervisor, which is a complete waste of everyone’s time. And while I am thankful the site supervisor intervenes it is not a sustainable model for either party. And for those using the remote gauge readers - beware as they fail and Sparlings has NO monitoring system in place to catch the remote reader failure….absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable. Our tank has been giving a false reading for over two weeks (when it stopped reading) and Sparlings had no idea until I raised the matter.
Parkland as a TSX listed company you need to do a whole lot better and actually live up to your supposed corporate and ESG values…your customers matter.

Completely took advantage of a Sr Citizen. Management did not even have the courtesy of returning a phone call. Office staff was great and understanding however no effort was made to reach a billing resolution thought at least 10 calls were made. Ultimately Sparlings sent the bill to a collection agency. Terribly unprofessional and disappointing. I will make every effort to share my disappointment regarding Sparlings Propane.

I ran out of propane early November but I was on auto delivery and the tank (300) was 80% full in September . It doesnt make sense, did the driver even fill it any propane Between Sep-No i have to pay aprox $1400.00 for propane, that's insane. I paid for furnace techinician thinking it was my furnace since i had 80% propane in September and I use it for heat only but no I had ran out propane. The driver who came to refill this month was very rude. I have phoned the office to report the whole incident and I have been told that there's nothing they can do. I'Its so sad that Sparlings is allowing an employee and the system to treat each so bad after what we the world has gone through the past 2yrs. m looking for a better company that will appreciate their customers and treat them with respect.
