Apparently the assistance is available but they don't want to reimburse you for anything. It's either that or they're selecting who they want to reimburse and who they don't. I submitted my documents the month I had my doctor's visit copay and none of the rejection letters TAF sent said what was missing. I had to call and some days the wait times are over an hour long. The call center was no help they said the only thing missing was my credit card statement showing I paid my copay. I faxed and uploaded my credit card statement again and again.
When I called for an update they changed their story and said they actually need an EOB statement from my insurance company. I uploaded that and then called for an update and they magically made up a fake deadline and said my EOB statement was submitted one day late and is now officially pass due and they won't reimburse anything.
The organization that is funding TAF needs to look into this as this "assistance fund" is a front for something else. None of the money are going to help the patients.

I'm extremely grateful for the help that I have gotten from The Assistance Fund without it I would not have been able to pay over $350.00 for my medication.

My experience with The Assistance Fund has been terrible. I get my health insurance through the Marketplace and because of a sickness, I am out of work for a while. Because of the sickness and being out of work, my tax credit through the Marketplace went up (making my premium for insurance go down). The Assistance Fund took issue that my health insurance went down. I wanted to be honest and report my premium going down so they would only need to reimburse me for half the amount they had previously reimbursed me for. No matter how much information I give them, they still find a way to not reimburse me for my health insurance premium. I have sent emails and highlighted notes to make it easier on them and that’s a complete waste of time because they don’t even read them. I’m convinced this place is a fraud at this point. They should be trying to help people rather than making their lives more difficult.
Also, the lady I spoke with at TAF had no idea how the Marketplace works. If they are going to be in the health insurance field and helping with premiums, it might do them some good to have people who know what they are talking about.

I have spent more than one hour on hold for Patient assistance after being told that my call would be answered in 35 minutes. Seeking BIN, PCN, Group# for Pharmacy in order to have Rx processed. Have tried to use TAF Chat 3 times: each time I was disconnected because attendants were busy. I was so pleased to have been approved for reenrollment, but 2-3 hours spent at the pharmacy and on the phone without any help have been frustrating and nonproductive

The Assistance Fund has helped my son since 2017 and we couldn’t be any more grateful for their passion towards helping others. I’ve always been treated so respectfully by anyone I’ve spoken to on the phone and that speaks volumes in today’s world. Thank you all for everything you do!

The Assistance Fund has been such a blessing to me and my husband. Big copayments can be devastating, on top of insurance premiums and all that goes with serious illness. I am forever in their debt. ❣️

I've received assistance form The Assistance Fund for a few years so all I had do do each year was fill out the Reenrollment page online to renew my fund. I Reenrolled 11/2/22 and was told to continue to use my existing Member card for my medication for all of 2023. On January 2, 2023 my $40,000 medication was reordered, for which I have a $4000 co-pay. I find out in late January from my pharmacy that The Assistance Fund denied their claim for my medication. After calling The Assistance Fund on Jan. 27th, I was told that there was no funds available for my medication. I received no notification saying this and after my Reenrollment told me to keep using the existing card I have, I was under the impression I was granted my fund again. The Assistance Fund finally sent me a latter dated February 8, 2023. More then a month after I already received my medication that had a $4000 co-payment. If I knew there was no fund available earlier, I would not have ordered my medication. Now I am stuck with a $4000 bill from my pharmacy which I cannot afford. That's why I was getting assistance to pay for it.
All I can say is be careful if you get a accepted for a fund from The Assistance Fund, check every month before you order your medication to make sure the Fund is still available so you don't en up with a $4000 bill like I did.

Did everything that I was told and they still find reason to not reimburse for insurance premiums. Pretty much give you the round around to not reimburse. Personally, I feel it is a scam at this point. You have my pay deduction per check and benefit summary. Any reason to not pay so my advice is to not waste your time. They also don't disclose anything as they should.
