This is where our pup dog; Takanni Inua was originally brought for sheltering and care at the Timmins Humane Society he then was transfered out to the humane society in Collingwood where we were fortunate enough to meet him and adopted him 6 years ago, we love Takanni soooooooo much and are so grateful for the care he had in Timmins and Collingwood humane societies so long ago, he is the most wonderful family dog a person could ever dream of having.
Takanni Inua is a very important member of our family.

Very easy to deal with. Employees care a tremendous amount about the animals that are under their care. Definitely deal with them again. Got this absolutely sweet heart from them.

My husband has a 10 year old male who has unfortunately become aggressive with food. And bit two adults and a child this morning ant doggy day care. And I’ll add he is in perfectly good health as he sees a vet regularly. We’ve had to make the decision to put him down. We have an appointment booked for the 17th as our LICENSED VET and ourselves think this is the best decision for Remi. With me being pregnant and children in the house. We called to see if we could get this done sooner as it’s a hard decision for our family. And I am now required at home missing work until the 17th. The humane society has told us they will not do it and they want to have us surrender him so they can give him a chance. I am beyond upset with an organization with minimal resources as is. Trying to tell us we aren’t giving him a chance. Animals are not profitable cases for you to try and fix and look good to make money off of. Our boy drew blood today. And as the lady on the phone said her manager has 12 years experience. We have 10. Experience means absolutely nothing at the cost of injuring someone.

Recently I adopted 2 brother cats ( Louie & Nickel ) from the Humane Society and I can truthfully say that the ladies working there were fantastic in helping me through the transition. I could see 1st hand that the ladies had a lot of heart in handling the animals. They want to make sure that the animals go to a good home with a responsible new owner so there is a process (application, meet the staff, animals etc.) in place to achieve this concern. Louie and Nickel are a great addition to my life as they are the most affectionate and entertaining cats that I have ever had. Thank you Brittany and M/s Walsh keep up the great work and take the negative reviews with a grain of salt as they wouldn't have made a good/responsible owner and I’m glad that you filtered them out as they would not have worked out.

ps: My daughter and her family from Timmins are also very happy with the 3 cats that they have adopted. They also spoke very highly with the service they received.

we adopted our beautiful blue from the humane society in may of 2021. he is without a doubt the kindest, most affectionate dog i have ever met. as vouched for in the other reviews, the staff here really do value their animals. blue came to us eager to learn. active, well-trained and in perfect health. i cannot speak for everybody when i say this - but i would adopt from them again in a heartbeat - and would encourage others to adopt. i love my blue more than anything. very affordable and a good deed to be done. thank you!

This organization has been an enormous disappointment to our Autistic child by approving a dog for us and in the same day, breaking our child's heart by revoking their approval. We were careful not to show our child the dog's pic until approval came and now we must bear the brunt of her sorrow. The testing on the animals is not completed until last minute and then people get hurt. In the future, our family will go with a proper breeder and then we can vet the breeder over shelters putting us through rigorous questions when perhaps THEY should be the ones to fill out an application as to whether they should be sheltering animals in need of a good home. VERY disappointed, will never recommend.
