I am so very impressed with the overall service I got today at the Truro walk-in clinic. It was the busiest I've ever seen that place, yet I was in and out within an hour or so. Both the doctor and the lady at the desk were perfect examples of great time management. The expertise and professionalism was beyond reproach. Many thanks!

I seem to have better luck walking in to schedule an appointment for the next day than actually trying to get seen the same day. Theoretically you can call in for an appointment, but I have never gotten a call back. The doctor has been good when I needed antibiotics, actually remembered me when I returned and sent me out with bloodwork to follow up on, which was more than I could ever get anyone else to do for a long time. There are a lot of signs up making it clear they don’t want truly sick people there, and the receptionist is pretty good about telling you when you should go straight to the ER. The long line out the door is the hardest part of actually trying to access care. 4 stars because my expectations are pretty low for a walk-in.

My worse experience happened today at this clinic. situation is like that. I was waiting on the line for about 40 to 50 min. And I shawn up the reception and I ask the receptionest.is that possible get get doctor today? or I have to take appointmentment for other day? And nice lady said yeah you can meet today doctor.you can wait for your turn. And i was waiting my turn. And there is more patient who already have appointments and there is many more people who don't have appointment. guess what happened after that? Patients who have appointment they meet the doctor, after that clinic is closed, Now turn come up for none appoinment patients, I was first person who make first appointment and I was the last who meet the doctor. My question is that, is this fair to me? Because I felt i am out sider.

Extremely incompetent receptionist and doctor.
The doctor ignored all my symptoms and prescribed over the counter medication. The receptionist is unable to take accountability for her errors. Mistyped a poor woman's information in her file as I was waiting in line then kept telling her that she would not correct it in her system. Even after the woman said that she would not be able to get insurance coverage with the wrong paperwork the receptionist provided. The receptionist did not even make an attempt to provide alternative solutions or find someone who can fix it. Terrible to see people suffer in illness and desperation at the hands of incompetent staff.

Surprised the reviews aren't a bit better. They helped me out by explaining what I needed to do when no other clinic was able/willing. Then I messed up by returning too early and they sent me away without charging me for the appointment, then called me when I should return. That was my experience with them- helpful, professional, and above and beyond.

In my opinion, this is everything a WALK-IN CLINIC should be! The doctor is given a 10 minute slot time to listen to, diagnose and potentially prescribe a remedy. The problem isn't this location or the doctor, it's the Province of Nova Scotia's LACK of available family physicians but, seems everyone is in a hurry to blame Dr. Sharma! He's not a pill-pusher like most Doctor's I've seen or heard of... if he's unsure, he will send you for bloodwork! He wants to help. He and his wife work constantly, if not there, at their private practice or elsewhere... they barely even have time for each other let alone themselves because they are out servicing us! Reason for 4-stars vs 5, and completely understand when the Medical Receptionist already has so much on her plate but, yes, the scheduling should be altered. Maybe book for more than just the next day if you have the availability to return all messages. Thanks for all you do!

I called many time but was never able to speak with a person. The clinic hours mentioned on website and flyer are different than mentioned on phone. This Saturday, after calling at 9:30 am for a same day appointment (asked to record a voice message), when I went there at 10:15 am, the person told me, I could see a doctor at 11:55 am even when I have called earlier. I was told by the nurse at Colchester East Hant hospital, to go there for blood collection services, but the receptionist said that they do not provide this service here.
There is no online booking service either.
