My father Gary is enjoying his time at West Park Health Centre. I feel at ease knowing he is being taken care of with such great quality of care. Being a smaller size facility I believe my dad is receiving more personalized care and he has the ability to create closer friendships with everyone. The building has had lots of updates and looks great! The inclosed courtyard is an added plus and looks fantastic. I would like to thank everyone at West Park for everything they do for their residents, they have a great running facility. It was amazing to see my dad fit right in, make friends, and participate in the games, exercises, gardening, and among other thing arts and crafts. He says the food is good with lot's of variety, and enjoys all the deserts! The management team is absolutely amazing with excellent communication.
I would recommend West Park to everyone!

Nothing but positive things to say about West park.

The staff is always very friendly and catering too all the residents needs. They maintain a positive attitude and the residents I’ve met over the year have had a lot of compliments towards the establishment and staff.

It’s not the largest Long term Care facility, but smaller is certainly better as someone is always around to tend to any needs.

I can't say enough good things about ALL the staff at West Park. The care my SIL received was far better then we expected. You always hear the negative stories but rarely the good ones when you have to place a loved one in a LTC home. My SIL was down syndrome with dementia and was not easy to care for in the last year. From management to psws they all took the extra time to give her the care that she needed. To anyone that is considering this home for their loved one, look past that the building is outdated. The care inside is much more important. Thank you West Park for helping us care for Dana. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

I am impressed with the new management team! Sure, the building is old, and needs updating, which they will do this year, but the staff! My friend, who is a new resident, has been totally transformed for the better! Everyone I met is dedicated to the welfare of the residents. The atmosphere is positive and loving.

My mom called Westpark home for 13+ years and was very happy there in fact so happy when her first choice of placement became available she didn’t want it and stayed with Westpark the staff are amazing and became like family and since new management it is getting better all the time they are fixing up an old building and working very hard it was so wonderful for us as a family to be able to not have to worry about moms care and just enjoy our visits with her and know that she was so very well taken care of thank you to all of staff for moms excellent care she loved you all

My father has been a resident of WestPark now for almost 2 months, moving in after an extended stay in the hospital. Since day one, I've been very impressed by the care and diligence exercised by WestPark's management and staff. They've demonstrated patience, empathy and compassion during every opportunity. I'm not articulate enough to properly thank Angela in particular. Our world is better for people like her.
And this is all despite several current challenges due to Covid-19 protocols and procedures.

VERY impressed with and am amazed at how a new management team ( from when I last visited years ago ) has given the place new life. Upon entering, I don’t smell urine and the residents don’t look like they’re just sitting there waiting to die. The atmosphere is positive and the care is very good and it’s super clean ! Yes, it’s an old building and yes, it’s ugly, but if the care is good, not much else matters to me. Oh, and the floors were just done about a month ago … what a difference ! Just lovely ! P.S. I am a 15.5 year homecare PSW and it takes a lot to impress me.
The assessment done on my dad upon 6weeks of his admittance was so well done and with such care and thoughtfulness, I want to commend the whole care team for doing just that … working as a team to provide what’s in the best interests for my dad. He is thriving there, as I thought he would ( despite my initial dread at going for a tour of the place upon acceptance and it being the very last on our crisis list ) We were very pleasantly surprised and are so relieved he is content and settling in so well that we will keep him there instead of moving him to the first LTC home on our list.
The only thing I could complain about is the smoker(s) that sit right by the front door. There is a designated area for them and it stinks for all visitors who have to walk thru a cloud of smoke to get into the place.

Horrible place my poor papa keeps getting beat up and they lie and cover it up by saying he fell, didn’t get him medical attention this time and had given 4 different versions of what happened plus they lied and said they had called my nana and told her whaat happened which they did not if I could put no star I would have! If your loved one needs to be put in a home I don’t suggest this one! They can’t do anything properly, they rarely ever answer the phone! No one deserves to endure this place! Should be shut down
