Honestly after waiting 2 years to get a family Dr I want to say this is the worst thing I’ve waited for in my life. The only reason I’m going there is because of my 7 month old baby for vaccinations and THAT’S IT.

Our first greeting appointment was canceled and mind you it was supposed to be my son’s first vaccine appointment too because he was late on it due to lack of doctors. I didn’t say anything other than ok goodbye.

After we got booked I was about 20 minutes late because I live 40 minutes away from the clinic and there’s always traffic, anyway I go to the clinic and the receptionist was extremely rude giving me side eyes. Even though I called in advance and said I’ll be late. The receptionist told me I’m ok I can come she’ll let the dr know. I go in and they told me oh you didn’t call you’re very late sorry. I asked her to speak with Dr OJ, he then came and in my face said “ would you like me to kick out the patient in room right now and take you in? “. I then reminded him about the last minute cancellation of my sons vaccine appointment which was a month later, he kept quiet then accommodated, instead of it being next month said the nurse, OJ told her to make it a week.

Overall, I have to wait on the phone for nearly 20-30 minutes to book an appointment and service at the front is garbage.

I called in for an urgentcare appointment but I am not one of their registered patients, however their website says that they WILL accept urgentcare for non registered patients based on availability. So, I called in with hope that I could get in. Receptionist told thats “we’re not a walk in now stop trying to call” and hung up. Purely unprofessional staff. If you look at the fake 5 star reviews they ask patients no BEG patients to write them. This way they won’t completely lose all their patients. My friend told me about the one time in her YEARS of visits that they were nice until the staff begged for a review when she was leaving and her first ever “kind” visit all made sense. Absolutely scum this place is.

I absolutely love my doctor here and have always had wonderful experiences with the doctors in the practice, too. The nurse practitioners are amazing and also provide exceptional care. Appointments can run late but only because the doctors care enough to fully hear out all of your concerns.

Not too bad. It’s definitely not European service but I guess they started improving a bit. Don’t worry if you late on your appointment because you will never get a doctor in time-)))

Just editing this old review and upgrading to 5 stars to say that now that I've had a few sessions with Dr. OJ, he's amazing. He really took the time to explain a few things to me even though I only had a 15 minute slot allotted to me. He was extremely professional while doing an upper body exam. His Nurse/Assistant Helen was also awesome, she cracked a few jokes and made me feel at ease and not so nervous!

We got a family GP-YAY! After waiting for a very, very, very long time we are thrilled to have a family doctor. Westend Family Care Clinic was professional and efficient, our meet and greet was on time, and the reception staff were amazing, kind, and helpful. They explained where and when and how to prepare for various tests. We met with Dr. OJ, he has a kind of tough love approach 🙂 which is nice, and honestly sometimes you need that! Nurses were excellent too!

What a fantastic business. It's supposed to be open at 8:00 a.m. and no one is picking up the phone. "The customer you have dialed is currently unavailable." And what is this fictitious statement on their website? Urgent care appointments must be scheduled by telephone for the same day?" Fictitious or very, very, misleading. I think they win a prize for getting rid of the person fastest. And book an appointment more than one week later. Westend Family Care clinic is absolutely NOT a walk-in clinic.

I can’t say enough good things about my doctor, and the other doctors in the clinic. The kindest, most compassionate, most thoughtful care I’ve ever experienced in Ontario’s health system. My only complaint is that there’s no direct way to speak to docs for clarifications - sometimes takes days to get an email through. But if that’s the only negative, I’m ok with it. A+

After reading the other reviews I can see that this clinic has only gotten worse in every way possible. It is extremely difficult to get an appointment when required and most days it is hard to reach the front desk. The website is not user friendly and the online booking system is not even working properly despite being directed there. Walk-in’s seem to be a thing of the past, which means the hospital ER’s are going to be an absolute nightmare, not that they aren’t already.

It wasn’t always this way. I remember this clinic being one of the best with understanding staff and awesome doctors. I never had an issue. Now we are to be grateful we have our call answered. I’m not sure who to blame, the clinic, the government, us Who knows, but it’s nice to see that the exorbitant taxes we pay are well worth the cost….
