GOOD news for Prince Edward County. There are High speed lines being run right now. Within weeks you will be able to throw these Jokers to the trash where this company belongs. I push everyone to jump on to another carrier as soon as available. And watch Xplhorribe go out of business. Worst net provider in the country. They should have their license revoked. Not worth $7.99 a month and they charge $133.00 month. Typical Canadian garbage company.

Choosing Xplornet was a decision I regretted. The internet service left much to be desired, causing constant frustration. I found the connection barely usable, except for a limited window between midnight and 9:00 AM on weekdays.

During my two-year tenure with them, I made numerous calls—more than 15 times—seeking better service. Despite paying for a 25 Mbps plan, the actual speed rarely exceeded 0.75 Mbps, making simple tasks like streaming nearly impossible.

When I decided to cancel their service, their inquiry about the reason made me laugh. I candidly explained that their internet service was subpar. Despite their offer to involve a technician to rectify the issue, I declined, as we had already switched to Starlink, which provides a significantly better service.

Consequently, we now need to remove all the hardware Xplornet installed on our roof—an 8-foot tower, a small support structure from the previous owner, and a satellite dish. It turns out, the technician found a more suitable location further away from the tower they initially planned for.

Now that I'm using Starlink, I've regained the clarity of the TV screen while streaming movies.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Xplornet. It's not only a waste of money but also a source of immense frustration and disappointment.

Been unsatisfied since Ive had the service. Cannot watch anything on Fridays and Saturdays because the streaming blurs. Has been good for work from home, however drops out sporadically and in rainy weather it crashes. When asking for support to have a tech reposition the receiver was a charge. Not happy and will be cancelling when the contract is due.

*UPDATE* Cancelled my service because of poor performance, although the customer service is good. Unfortunately, their policy has the CUSTOMER going up to retrieve and return their cheap roof mounted receiver. So now that I am no longer a client, I have to go get THEIR equipment at my risk, if not there is a charge for a tech. My lawyer has advised suing them if I get hurt getting their equipment. What an absolute garbage policy, and confirms the choice of cancelling them.

Absolute worst internet and customer service. They put you on hold and do not return. They even call back, put you on hold again and don't return? They offer a solution to 0.03 down on a 50 service (yes 0.03), but then tell you that the extra care on the account was cancelled? I have never even heard of extra care. Anyhow, these guys make Rogers and Bell look like hero's

The absolute worst experience dealing with this company to get the internet to function at our property in Muskoka. After hours they use Indian customer service reps who are useless. We had their dish installed 2 weeks ago and it still does not work and now they want to charge us for a service call to fix it!
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Our South Frontenac Museum has had excellent service from Xplornet. It is an essential service for us for cataloguing and customer convenience. We also appreciate the fact that when assistance is needed, there is always an immediate contact with their staff to manage your request.

Wow! What a terrible experience, and all to find there was no space of the tower for lte service. Do your homework, dont use these guys no matter what they tell you. Had v bad experience, three different installers, were going to charge me for lost equipment, then it didnt even work. Using great small local company now. Do not use these guys, really.

I should add, bell owns all the lte towers. But some local small providers rent space on these towers and that is the way to go. I signed with KINGSTON ONLINE SERVICES yesterday, got LTE service that day, great local company, cheaper, faster, nicer than xplornet! Make sure to look for these small guys, they are around. I now have fabulous LTE service and am over the moon happy. Bell owns the towers, no way around it. Good luck!

Bad Service and Bad Customer Service. The installer left a big hole in our wall and did not install a proper outlet. After the service was hooked up it was extremely slow. Dial up internet was faster.
