The most CROOKED peolpe that I have ever dealt with. They were asked to repair and service a simple boiler, which had quit working in the cold weather. The company asked for my credit card number over the phone prior to arriving on the job. They not only did not repair or service the boiler, the plumber started re-wiring it to cause electrical damage to the controller. He then told me that the controller was damaged and had to be replaced, he also did not seem familiar with Alberta plumbing codes and suggested we change things that were fine. After they left, I had to hire another plumber to do the original repair and service plus repair the additional problems that Roy's Plumbing had created. There was no accountability for the quality of their work as they had my credit card, they ripped me off for several thousands of dollars.

My house has a domestic boiler system which we have regularly maintained. We were hearing banging noises recently and called several boiler companies to assess. Previously, we had used companies out of Edmonton to complete this maintenance. Given the cold weather, we were trying to have someone come out today. Our regular contacts could not see us until next week. We called Roy's Plumbing and Heating and they were able to send a technician immediately. Upon arrival, the technician completed an assessment. He found the boiler high and low temperatures were improperly set causing the boiler to become a pressure boiler. As well as this, he noted the pressure gauge on the boiler was not functioning, the pressure regulator valve on the make up line was not functioning and the cold air intake was not installed correctly. The technician took time to explain the issues, diagnosis and the settings of the boiler. He completed the repairs in a timely manner and since the maintenance, the loud bangs have disappeared and the boiler is functioning correctly.

I would recommend this company for boiler maintenance in the greater Stony Plain area. Ashley and Daryl of Roy's Plumbing & Heating provided excellent service with the diagnosis and repairs completed in a timely manner.

Called and asked for a quote for a hot water tank, I was sent an email with an estimate that only included the total price ( over $4000) I agreed to the cost but I responded to the email asking for a breakdown in the price ( parts and labour) as I was just curious what the tank cost vs the labour. I was told by the lady who quoted me that she wouldn't do that because she had already given me the best price and if she broke it down for me the estimate would be higher and to take her word for it that if additional labour time were needed on top the quote that it would be at a " reduced rate" but would not disclose what the labour rate she included in the quote was. Never have I ever dealt with a company that REFUSED to break down a quote. When I responded that they won't get my business If they can't do this simple thing the response I got was that they were too busy for me anyways...Very poor business practice.

We just had someone came to unclogged our kitchen drain. They told it would be $120/hr +$45 for truck. Guy came and he was so so so slow and he took close to 4-7trip to his truck from kitchen each was approx 5min. Started at 12.06pm finished 1.15pm. They gave invoice of @1.25hour(9min=$30). Very unprofessional, do not recommend to anybody, they only concern about their invoice.

Well this is for the Stony plain store and it was as follows i had no water in my house so i called these guys to help and they installed a new jet pump to tel me after a 1600 dollar bill my line could be frozen!!(there should have been a diagnosis done first I think any way), so I still had no water and no help as they do not have the tooling to check if a line is frozen which i thought was a little strange? so finally got the line unfrozen (it was only a little bit on the end of the pipe in the cistern as I let it get to low) on my own and then the pump worked well, only to see that their installed pump was leaking a little (from their installed fitting). So called them up to have it done under warranty which they did no questions asked, but now after the fix of the small Leaks I constantly had air in my system !! Which I did not have before the tech was there the second time?
So i called the boss and there was no way he was going to step up and send some one again, just did guess work what it could be!!! so im stuck with it again .Did some research and all it was was the tech that came to me the second time forgot to tighten a fitting correctly !!! Really not good customer service! with their warranty this was only a 10 day time span will never deal with again so CAREFUL!!! just about money nothing else!!!
