We experienced poor service support on their JCB line of equipment. Our JCB telehandler repair issues dragged out for nearly 3 months with multiple come backs. In the end our invoice was almost $8000 in labour for $1200 parts , slow returned calls and the machine still is not running correctly. Had to cut our losses and search for a different service department with stronger JCB support and training.

The staff in the store are super helpful and take the time to talk and see what you need. The service department was great in finding out what was going on with my whipper snipper.

The only reason I didn't give 5 is that now on 2 occasions they did not call back when my product was ready. And a product I had ordered was back ordered and there was no call backs until after I called 2 time. It was on after my third inquiry they called me back. Communication via phone could be improved.

But amazing service when you are in the store. Guy put my new chain on my chainsaw for me right there and set the tension.

I will be back

Brought a Stihl backpack blower from Nathan. He was very knowledgeable and customer oriented.
The price was on par with anyone else. People compare to Martin's but they are not local. People need to understand if we don't shop local we loose these services. The fort needs a JD dealership.
I will be back and I thank you for having the model I wanted.

Very impressed with my recent experience at Deerland Equipment. My partner and I have had our fair share of horrible service from many businesses, personally and for our company.

We went to Deerland Equipment in Fort Saskatchewan to get some parts and inquire about forks for our tractor. The parts attendant got us the parts we needed quickly, knew the exact parts we were looking for and directed us to Sales, where we met Vlad.

Vlad helped us, even during his lunch break, without hesitation. He was accommodating, knowledgeable, pleasant and able to get the forks for us later that day.

This is a hard review to do. The reason for 1 star is 1 person. The mechanic in the back needs to understand that the customers pay his wage. Was told that my mower deck could not be repaired. His words were this piece of junk can't be repaired. Well with the help of a welder, drill and a new spindle it is working again. That was the second time he called my equipment junk. He will never have that opportunity again.
The rest off the staff has always been great. I still buy my parts from them. The service department will never work on my equipment again as long as he is there.

Very unhappy with the service department and parts department for several reasons:
-we purchased a brand new lawn tractor with 3 attachments. When delivered to us, the mower would not engage. To their credit, they sent a service person to fix it. After approximately an hour and half, he finally got it working (loose wiring).
-the tiller attachment was only partially set up for us (was supposed to be ready for us to attach ourselves. The tow bar was not installed (we had to take the fender and seat etc out to get it installed which took several hours). Then we realized there was a part missing on the tiller. We took a picture of the area where the missing part was supposed to be and went back to Deerland. They sent us to the parts dept where the staff member repeatedly told us that they were sure it was on the tiller when they had it (implying we were lying or trying to "hose" them out of a small bracket when we had just purchased a brand new tractor! ) They eventually ordered the part from a different dealer and after several delays--we finally got the part.
-we had an older lawn tractor (not JD) that we wanted to have tuned up before we sold it. It would not start and was backfiring. We asked our salesman if the service dept would work on a tractor that was not JD. He said "absolutely". So, we brought it in. The first words out of the mechanics mouth when he saw the tractor was "its the wrong color". They told us they would tune it up and "clean the fuel system" as they suspected tainted fuel. We had already purchased a fuel filter, spark plug and air filter so we told them we would use our own supplies as listed. They said no problem. When we picked up the tractor, they listed on the invoice that they checked the timing, replaced the carburetor and drained the fuel system. They indicated the tractor should not be started prior to replacing the filters and spark plug--fair enough. When we got the tractor home--the valve cover was not replaced! After calling to note this, the service manager said it must be a "miscommunication" and agreed to put the valve cover back on. To their credit--they picked up and delivered the tractor after that service. However, when we replaced the filters etc, the machine would still not start. It was doing exactly what it was when we initially took it in. Given we had already spent over $500 to have them put the carburetor in, we took it back to Deerland. The mechanic actually rolled his eyes when he saw us. After a week in the shop, we were called to say it was a sheared timing key that they said would take 4 hours of labor (to the tune of almost another $500) to fix. We called a different service company and they said at most, the repair would take an hour.
DEFINITELY NOT IMPRESSED with their service.

An update: I spoke with the service manager as per the reply by the dealership to my review. He was unwilling to "rectify" anything and basically said it was our fault because we wanted to use our own fuel and air filter and spark plug (so they wouldn't start the motor). I am disgusted.

I was about to buy a truck today, gave an offer, was waiting for Lindsey to get Approval from the Manager, but I was told there was another person ahead of me, not sure why I was given the chance to test drive if there was someone else ahead of me? and why priority was given to someone that came in the morning according to Lindsey BUT didn't buy it, if it was reserved I shouldn't have been allowed to test drive and give an offer. DISAPPOINTED
