We had an amazing experience with Phases over the weekend. Our young lab had a first large seizure in the early morning and we were able to speak with the clinic overnight and they stayed on the phone with us as we worked through the seizure and post-ictal aggression. On our arrival (at like 5am) we were seen promptly and the vet gave us an empathetic but appropriate consult. We rec'd a quote for all services at the time. We left our dog with them for 24 hours for observation and recieved multiple updates through the day. On discharge, we recieved information and medication and the final bill which was exactly what we were told. Absolutely cant say enough about the quality and honesty of the service. We are lucky to have this emergency clinic in Kamloops!

I unfortunately experienced the heartbreaking loss of my beloved dog dodge this weekend. When I brought him to Phases Animal Hospital, the team was incredibly compassionate and supportive throughout the entire process. Although we had no choice but to say goodbye due to the severity of his condition, the staff handled everything with the utmost care and kindness. Their empathy and professionalism made an unbearable moment a little easier, and I am truly grateful for the way they treated both dodge and me. Thank you for your compassion during such a difficult time.

Mitzi came in for an emergency appointment around 11pm. He wasn’t feeling himself and had a cough that other vets weren’t able to figure out. The vet was the best one I’ve ever encountered in my 13 years, incredibly intelligent and gave us more information during our appointment than anyone else. They gave him an xray (which is notoriously hard to get out of him) and they were able to diagnose what his regular vet hadn’t been able to. He got a prescription and less than 12 hours later he already seems more comfortable and back to his usual happy personality. Less coughing, eating again and even got playful this morning (although he was not allowed to play) Amazing care and service, worth every penny.

Took my kitty, Dorian, in for a bite that became infected. Called in at 6:30 and had him in by 8:00. Could not find any other vets on an emergency basis. He is all fine now and back to his important kitty business. Well worth the cost.

The team at Phases are amazing. I had to bring our Sophie pup into emergency and found out she has pancreatitis. They gave me options and a true opinion on what would be best for her care and I did not feel pressured to go one way or the other. Sophie is doing a lot better but is not quite 100%. They followed up about four days later and also let me know that I could contact or email them anytime if I had questions. The team is very genuine and compassionate. I appreciate a 24 hour emergency hospital as they answered the phone at 6:30am when I was in panic mode because Sophie was puking up blood. I am very grateful to have this option.

I took my bunny here when I knew something was wrong with him. I wasn't sure what was going on, and neither was the vet. I got prescribed some "in case it's GI stasis" medications that needed to be taken with food (critical care.) After I gave my bunny the GI mover medication he started having some convulsions and laboured breathing. When I called Phases back to ask them what to do, they told me that "bringing a bunny in twice in one day is very stressful for them." My bunny passed away in the next 2 or so days. At the vet, I even asked one of the techs if he could be given something there, but was told to do it at home, find a schedule. Also, I got the same vet at the last place she worked and don't understand leaving the pet in the back when she comes back to discuss the issues. That adds stress and feels rushed. I got a call from them asking how my bunny was doing..after he died. It's not any Phases employee's fault what happened, I just feel like spending $500 here was pointless, and that my bunny wasn't a priority or a serious visit, even though the building seemed empty when I got there.

***Edit for response
What history did you want exactly? My bunny was completely healthy and had no previous problems according to the vet, whom WAS MY PREVIOUS VET AT HER PREVIOUS PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. No teeth problems, no ear problems, he was a strong big healthy 2 year old bunny whom I'd taken for previous vet checks. When I told the vet that his head was tilting, it's because his head was tilting, that doesn't mean I knew what it was. All she said after my wait at Phases was "his head is definitely tilting." And "it's $4,000 for a scan" and was given the "in case it's GI stasis" medication. I told you guys exactly what was different about him and why I was worried-he stopped eating, he was limp, etc. I don't think I could have possibly been more detailed in explaining everything about my bunny. The only time I questioned wasting money was when I wrote a review here, after he passed away and I felt like he could have possibly been helped a little more (especially with that cost.) He was okay in the hospital, although he would have been even better if I could have stayed with him more, for example, when the vet and I had our conversation after she checked him. But no, I had to wait for a different tech to finally bring him out after another waiting period, after the vet was done with me. I never got an option for my bunny, my option was buy some medication to treat him yourself or nothing. Again, the vet doctor I got at Phases was my last family vet doctor in a different establishment, so where would I go in an emergency such as my bunny dying? How long is "immediate improvement" to you? People can't get instant access to regular vets during their regular hours.
Thank you for the response to my review of and experience with Phases, which I see is for the most part a wonderful emergency pet hospital. Thanks to all the kind hearted people that do the best they can.

We had an amazing experience at Phases. We brought Cookie, our almost 7 year old Guinea Pig in from Kelowna late at night as she had been having issues going to the bathroom. We had suspected it was GI Stasis but Dr. Adrian Helmers ran her tests and it turns out Cookie has a few cysts that have been growing. Everyone was extremely understanding and helpful in our decisions moving forward. Phases is the best place to go in interior BC if you have little guinea pigs! Thank you!

Friday night just before midnight my brother's dog was bloated and acting uncomfortable. I called to let them know he was on his way in, told them his symptoms and within an hour of arriving they had him prepped and into surgery for a GDV. They took excellent care of him and we were able to take him home the following night! He has a ridiculous haircut and looks tiny in his medical shirt but without them being around we would have lost him. This area is extremely lucky to now have this 24 hour service, thank you Phases!! <3
