Going to the doctors always makes me anxious but my partner and I recently moved to the area and saw this clinic accepting new patients and we needed a new family doctor. Our first visit went very smoothly and everyone here was very nice and patient. I’m really happy we found a new clinic to go to!

Ran out of the clinic crying because of the receptionist lying to my face, and the fact that I've absolutely had it with the healthcare system. It takes a lot to get a reaction out of me normally, but the complete lack of empathy was the last straw.

Went in for my first visit last Wednesday, for persistent swollen lymph nodes. Like others here noted, the doctor asked me completely unrelated questions, and asked me what sort of treatment I expected for my lymph nodes, and ultimately sent me away with a prescription for anti-depressants despite having no knowledge of my medical history or experience with psychiatric medicine. I asked to be tested for mono, since that can cause swollen lymph nodes, and he agreed to do it. Told me I had to come back after fasting for the bloodwork, I remember him saying "just come any day during the week when you have fasted for 9-12 hours".

Returned to the waiting room, confused because I couldn't understand the last instructions he said to me (spoken very fast with a mask on made it hard to interpret, and I was already stressed and confused about the visit taking an unexpected turn), so I asked the receptionist if I should book a follow-up (to check in about the medication he prescribed after 2 weeks, as I was instructed). She simply said, "You just come in, it's a walk-in."

Today I returned for my bloodwork. It was about 3:30 pm, and I had consumed nothing but water since about 12 am last night. When I went to check in with the receptionist, she told me I had to come in the morning for fasting bloodwork. She asked me when I first came in, I told her last Wednesday, and she said "Yes, I spoke to you then, I said you have to come back in the morning for fasting bloodwork."

This interaction did not happen, I am certain. I didn't even discuss my bloodwork requisition with her that day. All I knew was that the doctor had told me to come "any day during the week".

I asked her why I had to come in the morning, she said "because the blood sugar levels". Not an explanation, but I was losing my patience so I didnt question further. I told her I can't come in the morning, which is true. But she just responded by asking if I wanted her to print my requisition for me, so I said yes, and once I had it I had to leave before I broke down in front of the other patrons.

I looked it up later, and the only reason fasting bloodwork is advised to be done in the morning is because it makes fasting easier and patients are more likely to be able to adhere to instructions. There's no reason they could not have done the bloodwork for me then, at least not that I can understand. Certainly not from her explanation. If I wasn't so shocked and upset at the time, I would have asked to speak to someone else about it.

So, she lied to me on at least one count, two unless I'm mistaken about the fasting bloodwork. Avoid this clinic if you prefer honesty and basic respect in your healthcare experiences.

Usually always have had a good experience here. But today is a different story, been waiting for a doctor to even show up to see me for over an hour now. Having the clinic full without a physician when people are in pain and have organized their days around seeking medical care as immediate as possible with a no-show physician is not professional in the slightest.

Both of my visits were very painful and emotionally distressing. I got an abscess drained here by Dr. Airhumwunde and even though I was screaming in pain from how much it hurt while it was being drained they still didnt administer any more general anesthesia to the area and continued to drain it. Another visit I went for a burn blister on my finger and he pierced the blister I had on my index finger and tore off the dead skin from it, leaving a large area of the sensitive layer of my finger exposed. He proceeded to bandage it but bandaged it too tightly because he was distracted with his attendant to the point that all the circulation in my finger was cut off and going numb. I also think he had his secretary (the tall black girl who works there) aiding him during my procedure instead of an actual nurse, because anytime he asked her for gauze, medical tape or anything else, she would get confused and ask him which one it was, and kept getting things mixed up and confused to the point the doctor got impatient with her and turned away from me and my open wound to show her what she was supposed to be looking for, and she wasn't wearing any nurse scrubs either. Later on the pharmacist also made me uncomfortable by loudly annunciating the private medical issue I had been at the clinic for when giving me the directions for my medication. The entire place is unprofessional.

I just returned home from visiting this clinic for the first time. My family doctor is out of the country until the middle of January and her replacement was sick today. I was concerned I had strep throat. Was a great experience. Ample parking behind the building. The receptionist was very kind and professional. I was seen right away. The doctor was thorough. Clinic is spotless clean. Although there was nothing the doctor could do for me (turns out what I have is viral) at least I'm rest assured I don't have strep throat or something more serious.

The receptionist was terrible! She barely interacted or answered properly… and it got even worse. The doctor examined my ears, and we found out that I needed a cleaning procedure. And guess what? The person who performed it was the receptionist! She was almost like a butcher. I kept telling her that I was in pain, but she didn’t care at all.

By the end, I couldn’t hear anything in my right ear, but I had to ask her to stop because she was hurting me too much! I’m not even sure if she’s allowed to perform this kind of procedure—she’s the receptionist, right? This should have been done by the doctor.

I would love to get my money back… it was the worst experience ever.
