To Hospice Quinte and their staff and volunteers, your quality of care, compassion, empathy and support was above and beyond our expectations. Every effort was made to ensure not only Harvey “James” last days were so comfortable and relaxed, but you looked after us as well, making sure we had food, coffee, snacks, drinks and a place to sleep overnight. James passed peacefully as he was released from his pain and suffering. His time there was short but he was exactly where he needed to be. Thank you for your excellence in care. The Fox/Buker families will never forget you.

It is hard to put into words how thankful I am for the Staff and Volunteers at Hospice Quinte. I am not sure what is wrong with or hospitals but I left the hospital everyday feeling I let my mother down. Her stay was nothing short of horrible. I received a call asking if I wanted to move my mother to Hospice Quinte, I immediately said yes... The facility is unbelievable, they think of the patients and the families. The rooms are large, the beds are top of the line. When I arrived there was a volunteer sitting with my mother. The staff check in on her all the time, they shampoo her hair, new gowns everyday, my mother would smile when a staff member came in, I have to believe she felt someone cared. When my mother passed, I have to believe she died with dignity, like a human being! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Quinte, you are a special group of people that the world can use more of!

The loving care you provided to our mother throughout her stay was above and beyond what we could have ever expected. You gave mom the grace and dignity to be in the position to make decisions about her care.

The staff are so respectful of the people and the families that come for hospice care. Initially, we were surprised that there were no times for meals, but once we knew that food was available in the public fridge, we were able to help our Mom settle into a comfortable frame of mind.
This place is quite spacious and very clean. The quilts on the beds add a homey touch. I am grateful for the extra attention my Mim was able to receive during her final weeks.

My mom, Helen Hales was sent there on September 21/23 and the Staff there were unbelievable, Very kind and compassionate.They looked after my husband and I so well when we were there with her for the three days. I highly recommend this wonderful hospice for any family member or friend.

The communities of Hastings and Prince Edward have truly been blessed by the opening of this facility though the true magnificence of Quinte Hospice is not about the bricks and mortar. What truly differentiates QH is their amazingly compassionate, skilled and committed team of professionals. When my mother's POA barred me from being bedside with my mother at the hospital and hospice, QH's head nurse helped me surround my mother with items and symbols of love I wished for her at her time of death.

I reached out to Quinte Hospice and arranged for their coordinator to come out to my home. He was supposed to call me the following Monday with a time that he would be out. He did not call and he never showed up. The following day I contacted him, making it clear that I was not pleased that he had not even called to say he was not coming. He offered to come the following day but I declined. He then became very rude and reduced me to tears.
