Very poor communication from the manager of this facility. I have tried many times to reach her through email, phone calls, and physically dropping in. We requested information from the home, which we received an initial quote on. However, when we went to follow up with more questions regarding the level of care needed, we got completely ghosted. While I don’t think this home would work out for us for other reasons, I would not feel comfortable sending my loved ones here based on the lack of professionalism and communication.

Very friendly staff, but if your loved one is no longer able to walk or is nearing death I would seek a SHA facility such as the meadows/clover house with properly trained/licensed/registered staff.. very poor palliative care. My loved one ended up with an unstageable ulcer during the dying process d/t improper pain control/not turning/repositioning. I’ll never get the image of her black coccyx out of my head, it was so hard watching her suffer. Had I been the POA I would have had her transferred to clover house. This facility is private, no physicians visit, very limited “nursing” staff who don’t seem well educated either. In my opinion they should have been sued for negligence but my family is too nice. I hope the managers see this review and take it as a warning, I will make sure no other family member ends up in their care.

This rating is not a reflection of the care provided to the patients at Cypress house. But how the private business is structured and lack of ethics on ownership. We have recently been forced to seek private respite care due to the province, having no respite beds available in Swift Current, Only to be refused a respite bed at Cypress house as a paying private client due to the fact that the public health ministry Has taken over all temporary care beds available at cypress house. The province is taking up respite designated beds in the private sector for patients in the public. They cannot accommodate for non-respite purposes. It’s wrong and capitalism at its finest. Respite beds in this town is in a critical state and the health ministry is actively working against individuals who need to seek respite care. Leaving patients who are willing and forced to go into the private sector with zero options.

My grandma moved in a while ago and loves it. The people she lives near are very friendly, and the staff is helpful and friendly, and genuinely concerned about their residents.
