My 90 year old mother was placed here on June 10/24 after living in level 2 care at Qu’Appelle House in Regina. I cannot say enough about the wonderful care she received at Moose Jaw Special Care Home. The kind, caring, compassionate, and experienced staff are just great. The facility is older, but is being well maintained since the SHA took it over from Extendicare in 2022.

Kind, caring staff. Daily afternoon and evening recreation activities. Residents not kept in their rooms all day unless they prefer to. Wifi plug-in in my parent's room, so assume all rooms would have. I visit almost daily, at different times, and receive regular updates both in person and by phone.

Would give 0 stars if I could. The staff here don't care about the residents. They make them wait over 1hr to go to the bathroom if needing assistance. What is a call button even for? Understaffed is NO excuse to be treating seniors this way. You can't set up internet in a room either for whatever reason so residents are left in their room to stare at 4 walls all day unless it's meal time or doing activities. Absolutely sickening.
