This Is Not a Safe or Supportive Treatment Center. Please Read Before You Go Here

I want to share my personal experience so others can make informed decisions, especially if you're Indigenous and seeking real healing and recovery. I came into this program ready to work on myself, but what I experienced was harmful, disorganized, and deeply disappointing.

First, the director, Patty, is extremely rude, and even the staff talk behind her back about how hard she is to work with. She constantly changes the rules just to have control over the clients. She treats everyone like they’re beneath her, with no compassion or professionalism. It’s like she forgot we’re people trying to heal.

I had to leave early for my own safety. People were drinking, testing positive for drugs, and one grown man was acting violent — and NONE of them were kicked out. It didn’t feel safe, and I didn’t feel protected. I was told that I could come back to finish the program and still receive my certificate. But once I finished, Patty went back on her word and refused to give it to me.

The living situation is also a lie. We’re kept in our rooms about 90% of the time. During intake, they tell you there’s a breakfast room where clients can relax and socialize. They also claim we eat all the food, but we don’t even have access to the kitchen. It feels like we're being punished instead of supported.

One of the most disturbing things I heard while there came from a staff member, who said they get $8,500 from Indian Affairs for each client’s 20-day stay. It became clear that this place is more of a cash grab than a real treatment program. They don’t take our healing seriously, they take advantage of vulnerable people.

This isn’t just about being unhappy. This is about safety, dignity, and the right to get proper support when you’re asking for help. If you're in need of real healing, please look elsewhere.

Since they turned off Google reviews after staff had rated it good at mental wellness alliance.

I stayed here and it was horrible. We had to cook for ourselves and other clients, there is no activities, nothing fun, the counsellors are terrible. I had an old 50’s counsellor who whispered “native” like it was a curse word, and the other counsellor literally looks like he shoulda been a patient too.

There were bedbugs and spiders, people were using cause you could just up an leave whenever.

Horrible experience.

It's a nice place for mental health improvement. It provides various services. The ambiance is peaceful away from the hustle bustle of the city life. Workers are good, they know their work pretty well. Other activities are also available for the people who are residing.

Very poor maintenance on everything. The shingles on the building are about to fall off. Damages to everything in room. Bathroom not clean, actually still had piss stains & hair on toilet seat. This property used to have a nice campground & outdoor pool attached and now it looks like a junk yard. Will never stay here again, and do not recommend it.

Very well located in Saskatoon but the property could be better maintained. Definitely not worth the dollars spent.

The room allotted to us (112) was without shower curtains and the water collected in the tub.

The complimentary breakfast was nothing but bread and coffee. I have stayed in better rooms with better breakfast on offer Canada wide (with the rooms costing almost 35% less).

The only saving grace was clean linen and good cozy beds.

FILTHY the pillow and bedding had a foul odor - everything in the room I stayed at needed to be thrown out. Did not even put a full roll of toilet paper on the dispenser.
The white face-cloth were no longer white.
I cleaned the remote, the cloth used to clean the remote became black from dirt.
The carpet look to be the original dirty.

I don't know how this hotel passed inspection

There are definitely bed bugs here at all cost for your health and safety, find somewhere else to Lodge. Not just a few bugs but a severe infestation.

Honestly itd be a nice place if someone took care of it but no one has. The carpets are stained massively, my room wasn't even clean to start with. Dust on the head board, hand prints on the mirror, splatter on most of the walls. I even got blankets with blood stains on them and same with a towel. If they did a proper deep clean and than actually spent the 15 mins each room needs for dusting, cleaning of bathroom, making of beds and vacuum it wouldn't be a bad place to stay, but they don't.
