Aside from the huge selection of beautiful, locally salvaged timber, Irv is such a treat to deal with. His prices are very fair, and he is extremely helpful and kind. Its hard not to walk away with way more than what you came for. If you are looking for unique live edge pieces or just really nice lumber in general than give him a visit.

I bought a large bundle of hardwood from Irvin Bahnmann quite a few years ago. It is all reclaimed lumber from his own tree-falling operations. His prices are very fair and he gave me decent discounts on short pieces, live edge, and tapered pieces. He did me quite a few favours that day by delivering it to my house and also spent a good deal of time with me pricing it all out. It was all nicely air-dried and the Birch was also exquisitely spalted. He was also very communicative over email and in person. I enjoyed hearing about some of his expeditions into clearcut slash to recover Pacific Yew, which would otherwise be wasted by lumber ops. Great business and very rewarding purchase.
