A clean, medium sized store with used items. Every week a color tag is reduced. A discount card based on number of visits (not dollars spent) is also available. The cashiers are volunteers, who unfortunately are sometimes very poorly trained. I purchased a number of 1/2 priced items which the cashier did not discount, when I pointed this out of my receipt, she replied that she did not know how to fix the problem! I simply walked out being forced to pay more than the actual price, consoling myself that it least the profits go to a good charity.

There is one very rude man works there...He seems to be the head person that takes the donations in...When you bring a donation in he is very condescending at times, and like you are bothering him. He forgets its peoples donations that keeps the store going...They should get rid of that man!

Welcome to Powell River's least friendly charity shop!!!

Welcome and please feel free to browse our wares, but remember that we will close waaaaay before we advertise outside! At 1550 we WILL switch off the lights and kick you out with a cry of "We have been here all day nd want to go home you know!!"....

Well, sorry for attempting to shop in your premises... promise not to do it again....

I take my Mom here as she loves clothes. The prices on furniture & quality pieces is too high for a store that survives on donations. Once a month they should have a brown paper bag day. Fill it with clothes for $5-10 bucks. This assures turn over of products & clears overage of clothing.

I rated this place as okay because unlike our other local and cheaper thrift stores, MCC has been known to price their items according to what they find out online about the product, etc. Anything "outrageous" gets placed in display for silent customer auctioning, as well. Their prices are still much lower than if the product was being sold on a store rack, and the volunteers are always friendly, so that's why I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Friendly front of store staff, lots of items with tags saying "Antique" that are not antiques. More like just vintage. Antiques are classified as 100 yrs old or older. Furniture & all vintage prices are quite steep. Priced I'd expect to possibly see in a higher end boutique not a thrift store.

I love to shop here, there are always loads of neat things that can be useful in the weirdest ways you can possibly imagine. they do have the normal everyday useful things too though.

Wouldn't take my clothes because they weren't folded. All good clothing. Some were distressed styles so my clothes were "garbage" take it to the dump
