I went to see Mr. Gong regarding to my gout issue, he was patiently asked me my situation and answered my questions. He phoned me after my blood test came out and still asked me the details of my situation and wanted me to do Xray to get more information about my gout situation. He is a nice doctor.

My rheumatologist, Dr. Gong, is good at what he does. I first saw him in 2023 when I was dealing with a rare disease that left me with little muscle strength. Thanks to his care and guidance, my symptoms are now well-managed, and I’ve been able to get back to a more normal life. He’s definitely a straight-to-the-point kind of guy, and since he sees a lot of patients, he might seem like he’s rushing. But really, he’s just efficient and focused on making sure your concerns are addressed and you get the right care. If you’re someone who tends to go off on long tangents, he might not be the best fit—but if you value clear communication, he’s great.

When I was hospitalized for a week, I could tell he was really on top of things because the other doctors were impressed with how closely he was following up on my treatment. (In their words, he was very "on-the-ball"). I also appreciate how he takes the time to go over all the medication and treatment options with me, breaking down the pros and cons so I can make informed decisions. It’s something all doctors *should* do, but trust me, not all of them actually do. Overall, he’s reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely looks out for his patients.

Also, shoutout to the front desk as well as the pharmacy staff—they’re super friendly and polite, which is a rare find in clinics these days. They really add a nice, welcoming vibe to the whole place.

Dr. Gooi I would honestly say maybe he lacks a bit bedside matter though he did get the job done.

The New West location is clean and bright the pharmacists are knowledgeable and very efficient.

The front desk staff is super kind and make booking appointments a breeze + they are very on top of answering the phones Overall, it is a very lovely environment. You can tell the staff seem to get along well with each other and it really elevates the experience.

Dr. X. Feng; I am sure that he earned his medical degree, but as a human to human there is a lot lacking. I am very disappointed, all the work to go through to make it to the appointment and you barely get his attention, very impatient person.

I saw Dr. Gong recently for extreme pain and elevated crp. He did not listen to any of the history I tried to share with him..he spent maybe 10 minutes with me and immediately lost me as a patient when he told me he doesn't care about my pain he is not a pain doctor. I have recently seen a different Rheumatologist who took the time to listen to me and my history and diagnosed and treated my pain immediately. I am grateful to this Rheumatologist.
My advise is advocate for yourself always. If you feel a doctor is not hearing you or taking your situation seriously get a second opinion. It's your health. I did this and am so grateful I did.

Rheumatologist has no respect for patients ! Calls you in person to pay Cash fee for a report (who knows if he’s stashing his pillows with cash ) and then calls few days later to come again to pick up report in person coz he changed his mind about faxing the report! Where are the doctors who cared about their patients !

Dr. Gong did his physical assessment without asking my permission. He told me he was going to do it, and then did it, without my informed consent. He saw an anxious 30-odd woman walk into his office after a long struggle with pain and blew me off. When he was finished explaining nothing, he asked if I had questions. I started to ask them as he walked towards the door. By the time he got to the door handle I realized he didn’t care to explain anything to me and we all got up and left. Everyone who went before me got a full 30 minutes of his time, I got 10. My family member took a phone call when we went in and noted the time. All in all a disappointment and a waste of our time and energy to get from the eastern valley to new west to be manhandled and summarily dismissed without an opportunity for discussion. He didn’t look at me when asking questions and he seemed disappointed my blood pressure and heart rate were fine as those didn’t affirm his bias. Please avoid him - seek another rheumatologist who has interpersonal skills, understands the principals of informed consent and has the desire to communicate his supposed vast medical knowledge to someone who has less.

Little background:
I am a Rheumatoid Arithritis patient from the last 12 years.I have met numerous super specialist rheumatologists in the dozen years of pain and sufferring and almost gave up on medical science since everyone prescribed the exact same drugs and nothing was working. Then I was referred to Dr.Gong few years back by my family doctor seeing the aggressive nature of my auto immune disorder.
My experience:
Dr.Gong is godsent for me. After a battery of tests and discussions he started a different line of treatment for me which is working like a blessing. For the first time in last 12 years I can wake up without crying from pain, do my daily chores without pain killers and can even imagine looking for a job. I cannot thank Dr.Gong enough for the support and advice.
Pharmacy and Staff:
The reception staff is very efficient and super helpful. They understand they are helping suffering patients and are compassionate always.
Pharmacy folks are all awesome too. Special thanks and a big shoutout to Christina Cooper. She always go out of the way to explain everything to me and always follows up on urgent requests. Totally recommend Indigo Pharmacy and Clinic on E Columbia St. Its always a pleasant experience on my appointments.
