I simply do not understand how this office operates. I called for weeks to try and make an appointment, finally almost a month and a half later finally got a call back for an appointment, great.

Called me, said he didn't want to discuss any of my problems until after my MRI... Like okay... I'm having terrible symptoms and can't work but sure.

Get my MRI after putting myself on the emergency cancellation list. My MRI ends up being the same as last time. Get a call saying no appointment is needed? I still have symptoms, I've now been diagnosed with copper toxicity which is very serious and apparently it doesn't warrant an appointment.

So now, if I want an appointment, now I have to wait another 6-8 months when it has never taken gat long for an appointment? And you have to wait to be called for weeks by the appointment desk? Never heard of an office that never answers their phone, and can't book appointments.

I do not recommend this clinic at all. They do not seem to care at all about the well-being of patients. If your MRI is clear apparently you are just fine.

Dr. Chahol is an exceptional neurologist who truly goes above and beyond for his patients. From the moment I stepped into his office, I felt heard, understood, and cared for. His genuine interest in my complete wellness, both physically and emotionally, was evident in every interaction. Dr. Chahol doesn't just treat symptoms; he works collaboratively with his patients to develop personalized plans that align with their goals and values. Thanks to his expertise and compassion, I feel empowered to manage my condition in the healthiest way possible. I highly recommend Dr. Chahol to anyone seeking compassionate and comprehensive neurological care.

Dr. Preet Chahal has been my neurologist for almost 5 yrs. and I’m so happy with his care. He doesn’t have clocks on the walls in the exam rooms. His philosophy is that only you have his complete attention when he is with you. He’s not looking at his watch, which he doesn’t wear, to check when the next patient is waiting. He really checks everything so he can make a correct diagnosis and if he is stumped, he admits it and will send you to another doctor for help. I believe that I’m privileged to have Dr. Chahal looking after me. HF

We had a phone appointment with Dr. Horton on Sept 24 at 9AM. He didn't call, and his office didn't answer the phone. I left a voice mail which wasn't returned. Today (Oct. 1), we came home to find a voicemail from Dr. Horton, who had phoned today instead. We weren't expecting a call today. He said in his message that we can arrange another appointment by phone, but we can still not reach anyone at his office. It's so disappointing, because pre-COVID we saw Dr. Horton several times and he was very sympathetic and informative. When my husband needed his prescription renewed the last time, the pharmacist finally reached someone by phone, but said they were very rude to her and that Dr. Horton was unavailable. I don't know how to solve this situation. 🙁

I had an appointment in JUNE 2022 , nearly a year ago, and also a phone consult in OCTOBER 2022 and to date, my doctor has still not received any report. It is impossible to speak to anyone in the office as the phones are never answered and you are not allowed to leave more than 1 voicemail message ! I cannot understand how a neurology office simply does not send a report to the doctors, what is the point of seeing a patient when nothing is ever followed up. This is so frustrating.

I went to the emergency on the advice of my GP who though I was experiencing a TIA. Transient Ischemic Stroke. I could not see out of my left eye and suffered from a massive headache. Having arrive at Royal Columbian Hospital, I was referred to the Stroke Clinic and and Dr. Horton who called me the next day. I found him irritable and impatient but still took a history and ordered a brain scan. Yet, even though the brain scan showed multiple lesions, his office gave me an appointment for three months later and a medication that not only did not cure my headaches. I left a message with his MOA that the medication was not working but he did not bother to call back or make any adjustments. Not only that, I did not sleep for three weeks straight not realizing that was the insane side effect of the medication i was given. Multiple messages were left for Dr. Horton via his MOA. She called back to say; just take your med and he will speak to you at the time of your appointment. Yes, the med that was not working.
Finally the day comes and without asking me how I was doing or going through the results of the scan; he starts to tell me that he is upping the dose of the medication. The very medication that was not working. When I interrupted to tell him about it. His response was.." LET ME FINISH". Can you imagine? having been in pain for months. Having hardly slept for months; having waited to speak to your specialist not even getting a chance to speak...Then he accused me of not getting a word in edgwise. He said having lesions in the brain is normal; one every 10 years. and Well I am not 150 years old. when asked him to investigate my headaches. He said there is no point. Well, Dr. Horton, You do not qualify to make that call. I do not want my head anywhere near you. I find Dr. Horton Unprofessional, unkind, unempathetic, obnoxious and I don't trust any part of my body anywhere near him. He did not even bother to examin me once! Good ridden! Thank God there is just as many great and ethical Doctors in this town!

Not a very good experience. He is a great listener but that's all about it. Looked little rude to me and felt like i shouldn't have been there or wasting his precious 8 to 10 minutes when in fact it took me 2 to 3 hours to go to his office and same time coming back home. Going through a lot of issues but didn't find him very helpful or concerned or show any passion or any kind of hope for me to get better. If doctors are like that these days then where would you go for help.

My brother’s been a patient with Dr. C. Preet Chahal. He’s an absolutely amazing doctor. In addition, I’ve never met some so humble and kind in my entire life. Speaking of his expertise, he knows exactly what he’s doing and also gets to the root of the situation. Our family is blessed that we had him as our doctor.
