Well it's been years since I was a big time drinker and had nothing left, ugh was part of helping me want to get sober. Well I did get sober, got off the streets. Now years later still sober, but with the cost of renting I am now having to go back to street living, so will see Monday if it's still a great place to feel safe n welcomed

Well my late husband used to go here, So when Shaun and I finally got together he said come on. At first I was nervous new place some faces , I recognized. Some of the food was very spicy. The old cook has retired. There doing fish on Tuesdays. Sometimes pancakes for breakfast. The best part is the outreach workers very friendly. They will help you fill out housing applications, help you on your road to recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction. It is a sober space. Break the rules and you do get a time out. Every Wednesday they have local service providers come in spirit of the children, a probation worker, ministry worker is there Tuesday thru Friday 830 am till approx 1030 am IHart is now Mon and Wed. Foot clinic first wed off the month. Oh and don't forget Dr. Heidi and Carlos who is now doing the haircuts. The food is way less spicier thank you.

Seven teen years ago the ugm in new westminster helped me get clean and sober from street drugs and helped me turn my life around ,the staff there are caring always there to help ,the ugm believed in me when I didn't, even helped me find and build a relationship with God as well.

Today my family was contacted by this organization to make a donation and I asked if they are affiliated with any religion because of the name. They said no to get a donation out of me. I did google this place to make sure and found that it is a Christian organization.

I told the lady that my family is atheist and she responded with a sorrowful voice and said we don't say we are a Christian organization! I told her I only donate to secular organizations and she had a judgemental tone when she replied.

So not only they lie to get a donation from you in the name of christianity which I find very problematic, but also judge you and try to guilt you for not choosing to believe and support any religious agenda.

People should be able to choose who to donate to and should be able to do so in an informed manner without fear of judgement. Can't remember ever getting scammed like this!
