I feel so fortunate to have found Dr S. Hutchinson here and she is an incredibly caring and attentive physician.

Truly listens without dismissing concerns, which is so rare and appreciated. I felt heard and respected throughout every interaction.

What stands out most is how proactive Dr. Hutchinson is — not only does she take the time to understand your needs, but also follows up with thoughtful responses and practical next steps. I’m grateful to be under their care and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a doctor who genuinely listens and advocates for their patients!

I highly recommend Dr Leblanc. He is incredibly patient, always taking the time to listen to my concerns. He never rushes through appointments and ensures I thoroughly understand all my options. After every visit, I leave his office feeling well cared for and confident in my treatment plan. I'm truly grateful to have such a compassionate and knowledgeable doctor!

I had an appointment at this clinic on February 21 at 6:30 PM. My appointment was actually with a nurse, not a doctor. The nurse was helpful and tried to assist me by finding a doctor to address my concerns. However, the female doctor with glasses who came in was shockingly lacking in empathy.

Throughout our brief conversation, she focused only on her own opinions rather than trying to understand my pain and recovery process. She even dismissed the medical leave prescribed by the emergency doctor, telling me I was ‘too lucky’ to receive 8 days off due to my workplace injury. She said that if it were up to her, she would have sent me back to work even sooner. Instead of providing any meaningful help, she simply ended the conversation and sent me away.

Her attitude made me question myself—was I overreacting? Was the problem with me? But the next day, I visited another clinic, where I received a completely different level of care. The doctor there was patient, understanding, and actually listened to me. It was only then that I realized—it was never my problem, but rather how I was treated here.

I was so upset by this experience that I forgot to note the doctor’s name. I truly appreciate the nurse who tried to help me, but I hope this clinic ensures that all its doctors treat patients with the empathy and professionalism they deserve.”

Dr. Chantal McLukie is an incredibly kind and compassionate human being. She validates your feelings and pain, makes you feel truly heard, and never dismisses anything you share. I met her after returning home from major surgery, and her empathy reminded me that people like her are a true gift to this world. She genuinely cares and supports you every step of the way.

It's exactly what you can expect to get an appointment. Call into the queue at 8:30 and select the preferred UPCC location. While the James Bay UPCC is closer to home, I chose this location based on the reviews and it being a newer clinic. After speaking to reception, my issue only needed a nurse's attention. Lots of 2 hour free street parking, the facility is large and very clean. Already had my health care info so no need to present the physical card upon check in. The attending nurse was pleasant, personable, thorough and knowledgeable. Minimal wait time which you could say was almost negligible. My first experience was very positive. This clinic was well organized and staff are friendly.

Wow, what a fantastic experience at a BC clinic. In excruciating pain, managed to get on wait-list & in to see Dr. Nesbitt (spelling-name hyphenated, so apologies if partially wrong.). She was so compassionate, very knowledgeable with excellent insight. She was able to get medication right away to help manage pain & urgent ultrasound, which enabled me to get appendectomy & laprascopic surgery right away, the following day. They followed up with me after regarding potential medication conflicts. The clinic was spotless, all staff kind, on time. Really I felt like I was in the best care. I cannot thank this Dr Nesbitt enough, and I hope I can see her in future. She literally saved me time, ensured I was properly cared for. Beyond grateful.

Called right as they opened and got an in person appointment in one hour. The best doctors visit I have had in years... the doctor was thorough, kind, and took her time. Very grateful for my appointment today as my usual clinic is closed for a couple weeks. Thank you!

Wow, I can’t believe how many times I’ve called this place exactly when their phones come on at 8:30, waited for 1.5-2hrs only to be told to call another clinic or next day. I’ve been at this clinic since they opened. They have my records as that’s where they were automatically sent when the clinic on Yates closed, and it’s the one place to tell other doctors/specialists and the hospitals where to send my records since I haven’t had a doctor from 2018. Yet it doesn’t matter what’s happening they just don’t care. Why on earth can I not get an appointment for the next day or whenever someone is free, especially if the issue is urgent? Why do they make you go through this horrible phone call process every single time to not even get an appointment!?! It’s an extremely cold and nasty way to take care of patients. Horrible to go through when you’re already dealing with medical concerns and that’s just trying to get an appointment. BC’s entire medical system needs much smarter people to help medically.
