I had a varicose vein in my left leg.
At first he didn’t feel it was bad enough.
I pushed forward and asked for surgery as it was bothering me and he agreed to do the surgery.
It would have taken 2 years wait elsewhere
with only the worst cases accepted first.
So I could have waited longer.
It was only a 2 month wait here.
I didn’t feel anything during surgery, not even the small needles used to freeze the area, and he had it removed in 1.5 hrs.
Recovery has been easier than I thought, but have taken 5 days off. You are in good hands here. I highly recommend.

I have had varicose and spider veins most of my life. I had them stripped and have had sclerotherapy done many times.
Last year I went to see Dr. Hunter and I was extremely impressed by his professional manner and ease to speak to. My legs responded very well to his procedure and I will plan to get the other leg done this fall.
I have some spots which he told me would be normal and they have completely diminished.
I was very happy with him and his wonderful receptionist Linda!

I was referred to Dr. Hunter almost a year ago and he spent about 5 minutes to check the blood circulation in my legs and confirmed I don’t have any symptoms for varicose veins. I was expressing extreme pain in my legs for long time and there was a lot of spider veins and bruises on my legs and he said these seems to be fine and I have spider veins on my hip too. This was the weirdest comment I’ve ever heard when a senior physician comparing this with me when I am still in my 30s.

This means ignoring a patient because you think young people can’t get varicose veins?

Unfortunately I trusted him at that time and 6 months later things got worse and my legs appearance now looks awful with thick veins and my legs are almost painful 24/7.

I learned a big lesson: when you personally thinks that there’s obviously something wrong with you and a physician ignores you, ask your family doctor for a referral to a better specialist. Don’t ignore your health cuz it seems like not all doctors care about their patients health.

Dr Hunter removed my varicose veins about a month ago and I’m extremely happy with the results! The procedure itself was way less scary than I had expected it to be, there was next to zero discomfort, and my legs are varicose vein free!!! There is still some minima bruising, but it’s fading more and more each day.☺️ Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I developed blood clots following the procedure of having varicose veins removed. One was very large and painful. I went back to see him a few days post surgery and he would not give me anything for pain nor would he put me on a blood thinner. He told me the clots would disappear in 3-6 weeks. Within one week I developed a deep vein thrombosis that was very close to entering my femoral vein. The result could have been catastrophic had I not gone to Emergency. It was very serious. This could have been avoided had he taken preventative care in treating the blood clots. I would rate him a zero if I could. Once he received his money, he blew me off.
