On the last day of 2024, I was fortunate to have **Dr. Richard Wong** as my attending physician. He patiently listened to my description of the symptoms, carefully examined me, and demonstrated a high level of professionalism. (Previously, I had visited another clinic where the doctor completely misdiagnosed my condition! Since he disagreed with the physical therapist’s assessment, I decided to consult another doctor for confirmation. **Dr. Richard Wong** not only confirmed the physical therapist’s assessment but also identified another potential symptom.)

He was very thoughtful and prepared a doctor’s note for me. He even went the extra mile to print out proof for insurance claims to purchase Carpal Tunnel brace, along with exercise guidelines tailored to my condition. I am deeply grateful for his assistance.

When I left the clinic, I saw how busy he was, and I felt a bit of sympathy. I hope everyone can be more understanding toward this clinic because their service is far better than other clinics. I could genuinely feel that every staff member here is dedicated to helping patients. I really don’t want them to stop accepting **walk-in** patients in the future, as it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find clinics that allow **walk-ins**—let alone one with such caring and committed medical professionals!

Had a wonderful experience for my daughter with NP Kevin Sandgren. He was extremely thorough with his assessment and was amazing with kids! Very impressed with how much effort he put to assess my toddler. She was not even traumatized by the experience. My was sick as well and was seen by him. Wait time was very reasonable for us (~2 hours). It's so refreshing to come across a caring provider. Thank you again!

I really like this UPCC because it’s usually less crowded than other locations and newer, which makes the whole experience quicker and less stressful. The intake nurse is super sharp and efficient—definitely one of the highlights of this clinic.
That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. Most of the time, you’ll be seen by a nurse practitioner rather than a physician, which might not work for everyone depending on your needs. No X ray. Also, even though the clinic is open until later, they usually stop accepting new patients by around 6:00 PM, so it’s best to arrive well before then.
Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking for prompt care in a calmer setting.

I wasn't happy when I found my doctor office couldn't take me and referred me to Urgent Primary Care. However I found the experience to be worth a review. The building, waiting area, washroom, doctors office are spotless and clean. The receptionists tidy when they are not busy with patients. All of the staff who assisted me so far have been professional and courteous. The receptionist (I didn't get his name) quoted the wait time and it was exactly what was quoted. He gave me a clear expectation that I was waiting to be assessed by a nurse first and if needed, I would need to wait to see the doctor but could go home and receive a text when it's my turn. The nurse I saw named Ethan was stellar. He was efficient at his job while at the same time able to small talk and entertain my 7 months old, who I had to bring with me. Guy should be going great places.

Always get there early, it can take up to 3 hours to see people. It’s a great way to unclog our ER rooms. The photo is the wait on Sunday which can be up to 30 hour per person.

I visited the emergency department as a patient, and I was truly impressed by the care and professionalism of the entire team. Everyone was very kind, helpful, and attentive throughout my visit. They made a stressful situation much more manageable. I'm very grateful for their support and excellent service. Thank you all!

Stop calling these clinics urgent care!

I visited today before 5 PM with a terrible ankle sprain and swelling. They didn’t even bother triaging me!! What if it had been an elderly woman with a similar injury and a possible DVT? Are you seriously not triaging ANYONE Cause the girl at the front desk barely lifted her head to look at me!

I even told them I was willing to wait, as my condition wasn’t life-threatening but still needed attention, and it was well before vlosing time.

Am I supposed to go to the ER and wait 7+ hours, taking up space meant for REAL critical cases

It’s not all their fault though. Our healthcare system is ridiculously slow and poorly structure.

If you need urgent care, this is an excellent choice. Fortunately, for me on a Friday afternoon, they weren't very busy. All staff were polite, friendly, and professional despite cranky customers. It is a fairly new building and very clean inside with lots of seating. Street parking isn't great, but there is pay parking in the alley under Shoppers Drug Mart.
