As a recovered addict/alcoholic, I’ve spoken with a large number of counselors and therapists over the last 15 to 20 years, all across BC. So when I set out to find a new therapist in the Comox Valley, I wasn’t going to settle. I needed someone skilled and knowledgeable enough to guide and support me through everyday challenges and help me work through some of my heaviest traumas.

Being neurodivergent, living in recovery, managing ADHD, navigating past trauma, maintaining a stable family life, and holding down a successful career, it’s a lot. But with the proper tools and the ability to speak with someone that truly listens, understands, and supports without judgment, it becomes manageable. That someone, for me, has become Tara Hope.

Tara is one of the most grounded, insightful, and compassionate counselors I’ve ever worked with. She creates a space where I feel safe, respected, and heard. Her approach is not only trauma-informed but also deeply human. She’s helped me unpack complex layers of my life while also giving me tools I can actually apply in the real world.
