This review is long overdue as we've been bringing our cats here for many years and having a dedicated cat hospital in town is not something we take for granted.

It was sad to say goodbye to Dr. Erin and having to build trust with a new vet was daunting. However, Dr. Puri has shown an incredible amount of compassion and aptitude when it comes to treating our cats. Her surgical precision when removing an aggressive growth from under one of our cat's eyes is also impressive and worth noting.

I need to mention the staff because they are truly the pillars behind what makes the cat hospital great. It's abundantly clear every person in that building LOVES cats and works tirelessly to ensure each and every one receives the best care possible. They've been there to support us through some of the toughest moments.

This is an emotional industry to operate in - pets are practically children to many of us. Every time I walk inside, I trust that my cat is capable hands. Thank you for everything you do! ❤️🐾

Every time I take my cat to the Cat Hospital, I feel like I am walking into a family gathering. Both the vets and the wonderful support staff are genuinely welcoming and immediately familiar with my blind kitty who is not easy to examine or treat. They are understanding and compassionate even with the most difficult of patients (and cat-parents). Also, the comparatively reasonable fees make me confident that they are there because they truly care about feline well-being. Most definitely the best place to trust when it comes to your purring fur-baby in Kamloops.

I recently had my cat spayed at the Cat Hospital. I was so impressed with how friendly and professional all the staff were. My cat came home feeling fine, with an almost invisible stitch line it was so neat. Her recovery has been smooth. I will be taking my cats there over the years, they were great! I highly recommend them and you won't find a better price anywhere, it was incredibly reasonable.

3 different vets over past year, overcharged for urinary tests that were NOT performed and NO refunds, cat grooming sub-standard, will NOT recommend business.

I initially brought all my cats here because I enjoyed the care they received and pleased with the knowledge. However, my senior cat was being investigated for kidney failure so I was doing all the things, switching her food etc. One day I went to purchase food she was enjoying after a few samples and the receptionist was adamant that the food was not necessary for her. I said are you sure? She had blood tests done and I was told to switch her over asap. She kept saying nope we don't have that on her file she doesn't need it. So I didn't buy it. Less than a year later she passed away most likely from kidney failure. We brought her to another hospital and did numerous tests and it was too far gone. She wasn't making any progress towards a recovery and inevitably made the decision to let her pass. My instinct told me I was right but I let a receptionist turn me away. I wouldn't recommend this business for this reason.

My cat Rocky was really sick one evening and I was very worried about him. So I called the cat hospital and the vet was able to see me after hours. She gave him some shots and some medicine to see if it would help. And if not to bring him back in the morning. I am so grateful that I was able to at least try and get the medicine he needed. Thank you ♡

Three times I took my obese arthritic cat elsewhere and walked out all three times with a bill for zero solutions so I came here to the Cat Hospital where first time we had a plan going.

They've been great at following up and keeping her best interest at heart, she's finally losing weight and improving 🥰

I hate that I've had to come back to change my review, but a change of vet warranted it.
The staff here are amazing. They really do care and treat cats with so much love.
I have lost all faith in the current vet (Dr Puri)
I brought my cat in for a tooth extraction and she took out 3. I'm not convinced all 3 needed to come out, but you want to trust the "experts ". Wren I went to pick him up, he was so traumatized, hissing at everyone. It took over a week for him to even not be scared of us! Over the next month, I watched my cat slowly deteriorate. I kept bringing him in every week and she just kept giving the same medication (that is not good for kidneys even though his pre-surgical bloodwork showed his kidneys were not doing well) and telling me to come back in another week. He wouldn't drink, play, meow, or come see us when we got home. He wouldn't even cuddle or want to be near anyone. 😔 Every week I told them, "I want my cat back. He's not himself, he's not doing well" and they'd tell me he's just being picky, or the site is infected, then give a shot of antibiotics and more of the harsh anti-inflammatory. He got worse and worse.
Last weekend (just shy of 1 month post-op) he refused to eat or drink at all, not even treats. He stopped moving much, and would just lay fluffed up, shaking his paws and head, and couldn't relax.
Enough was enough. I started asking around and found MANY OTHER EX CLIENTS who have left since the new vet came to the hospital as she had misdiagnosed their cats and almost killed them.
I took my cat to a different clinic in town. He stayed the day, was given IV fluids and 4 new medications. Amazingly, when I picked him up he was happy, bright eyed and cuddly. I opened his crate when we got home and he went right to the food dish and ate and drank. Next day he was playing! 1 day at a different clinic and he's himself again.
I'm so glad I left when I did, but I wish I had sooner. Although Dr Puri is nice, I do not trust her treatment or judgement. Unfortunately, I've heard quite a few horror stories now about her care.
Again, the rest of the staff is absolutely lovely.
