Whatever you do, don’t show up expecting anything within a half hour of close. Went to buy a door handle of all things and the guy at the counter was complaining to me about how everyone was showing up at the end of the day. Also laughed at the fact I was only buying one of them, which is just ridiculous.

Then, upon driving into the yard to go to the door warehouse, I was AGAIN reminded by the attendant that they were almost closed (it was 20 minutes to close). I was so fried at that point that I just about asked for a refund.

I get that this place caters to contractors but at least try to run a friendly business. Every time I go in there the staff are rude, like they expect me to know everything already. It’s gross. Only reason I go there now is if I’m desperate. Great job, Slegg.

Horrible, absolutely horrible. I had an extremely unpleasant encounter with a teen worker named Jack. Instead of treating me with basic respect, he insulted my appearance in a personal and humiliating way, then told me to leave. This was not only unprofessional, but also deeply inappropriate.

No one should have to experience that kind of treatment, especially in a professional or customer setting. His behavior was completely unacceptable and reflected very poorly on both himself and the business he represents.

I hope this is addressed so that others don’t have to go through the same experience.

Take your business else where. I originally paid 6.89 for barkman stone. Needed another 300 units. Tried to charge me 9.96 a piece. Told me nothing they can do. Went to Rona and purchased same ones with FREE delivery for 7.29 a piece. BE CAREFUL

I recently and even before 2 times had an interaction with Jim from the receiving department, and unfortunately, it was not a positive experience. I found Jim to be quite rude during our communication. His tone and attitude came across as dismissive and unhelpful,which made the interaction unnecessarily difficult,but door shop staff is very freindly and fast.

I love shopping with Slegg lumber. They pretty much have everything you've need to build your home. From large projects to small projects they will suit your needs. They also offer delivery service. Sleggs has many locations. They have a Milwaukee van full of tools that can show up right to your construction site. All you have to do is give Jason Schneider a call. He will gladly bring the tool crib to the site. If you talk to him nicely, he might be able to bring you supplies as long as they fit in the rolling tool crib.

Jason, Garage Door Manager, helped us decide whether to restore our 30 year old door or replace it. We found the door design and colour we wanted and the installed price was very reasonable. Jason came to our out of town home a day or so later to measure our door and determine installation requirements. He quickly sorted out a colour related issue by calling the manufacturer. The door arrived on time and the installer, Gord, did a super job.

We ended up with a door manufactured in Alberta from Canadian steel that perfectly matches our home's exterior. Slegg exceeded our expectations. Jason and Gord made that happen.

They went above and beyond to help me with a past warranty claim that the previous salesman left me hanging. I followed up, and they made everything right. I appreciate everything they did and how fast and speedy the service was firstly when the door was installed, and on my warranty claim.

They just abandoned this new woman at the front till. Myself and 5 others struggling to get out of the store. She's looking EVERYTHING up in a binder. Forced to get slip from customer service for stuff she can't find. Lost my place in line. Ultimately left empty handed.
Spoke to manager John. He explained regular staff didn't show, and receptionist stepped up to the plate to assist. She's clearly overwhelmed but still doing whatever she can to help clients get out of the store, bless her heart.
As for the girl at customer service and older fellow at contract sales, they grudgingly assisted me after much persuasion. "Not my problem" was the attitudes of the day apparently.
I still left empty handed, but damn - that receptionist has more integrity in a fingernail clipping than the other two do in their entire bodies combined. She deserves a medal🏅
