I am surprised by the low rating on Google. My husband has been living here now for over 12 months. He has a very complicated, rare disorder and I am so impressed with all the staff at Acacia and Dr Reynolds who works with staff to see that my husband is receiving the best care available. The facility itself IS older but as I learned years ago it is not the luxurious nature of the facility that is important but it is the quality of the staff. The activity staff and the nurses and care aids on staff are ALL exceptional. The care aids who assist with grooming and eating are fantastic- young, fun and positive in their demeanour. This facility specializes in dementia care and they are as good as their word. I can sleep at night knowing my husband is in a homey, caring environment. I know a number of other people who have had relatives living in Acacia and they have nothing but good things to say about the care. It is a small facility with just 35 residents which makes a huge difference because staff get to know each and every resident. It is not easy to place someone you love in the care of others but Acacia makes it so much easier for families who cannot deal with the care complexities of dementia patients at home.

Acacia is the very best care home we visited before placing my mum. She has been there for 3yrs and is coping exceptionally well. The care from the staff is top notch! Their ability to care for dementia patients is outstanding. As difficult as placing a loved one in a care facility is, Acacia has made the difficult much easier. I can not praise the staff enough.
