I've come from Victoria twice now to visit Tracy's salon while visiting my mom. I can't remember the last time I felt so understood. Despite my fumbling inarticulate request for a complex color treatment she somehow nailed it. The cut as well. I trusted Tracy's decades of experience and ended up with exactly the hairdo I was looking for. I guess I'll be getting my hair done in Lake Cowichan for the foreseeable future!! Thank you Tracy for the incredible hair and also for being so patient and lovely with all kinds of peeps, especially my precious mom ❤️

Going to Tracy’s shop was a wonderful experience! Friendly, professional, and conversation flowed easily! A charming shop & a beautiful personality to match. Will definitely be my go to for haircuts. Like visiting an old friend.

Hands up the worst haircut I've ever received. I provided a very clear picture of what I was looking for. I left the shop embarrassed to be seen in public. The back of my head and the front sides are shaved to 1/4 inch like an army cut. I have less than 2 inches left on the top of my head which is cut in a bowl cut. I was in tears as I walked back to my car. I thought about it for a couple of days then contacted Tracy asking for a refund. She emphatically denied to do so and then blamed me for any issues I was having. In our discussion after the fact, I sent her the picture of what I had asked for and she said it wasn't what I originally showed her. Then she came right out and called me a liar and told me I needed therapy. I have the whole text conversation. She then stated in our text "You know what. Hair grows. You got what you asked for. Sorry you are upset you don't like it. But it is what you asked for." This cut, dare I say almost a scalping, is way beyond not what I asked for. Its going to take months for me to get over this. And all I was asking for was a refund.

I wish I did not have to give her even 1 star, but I had to in order to publish this review.

She posted a response to my review on her Facebook page and I am posting it and my response here publically as protection and in case she removes my reply from her page... oh... and how can I have been harassing her for a week when she did the cut only 4 days ago?

This lady has been harassing me for a week now. She came in and showed me a photo of Katie Perry. A very short pixie cut. That's what she got and doesn't like it. She has been threatening me for her money back or she will give me a bad review. Here it is. Rude and aggressive behaviour.

My reply
There was no harrassment nor threat, just a text request for a refund. No aggression on my end. On Tracy's end she stated I need a therapist, she questions my mental status and called me a liar. I have kept the conversation as proof and personal protection. I had to block her because I was starting to feel threatened. Its sad a simple request was escalated to this level and I hope she can let it go and move on. Its going to take a long time for me to feel comfortable being seen in public again and I'm doing my best not to take her comments about me personally.

Tracy' shop is not a shop, it's an experience. The quality of Tracy's services is amazing, her presence while in the chair is like being at a friend's house. Personable, professional, creative, great price point and talented. So fortunate to have her Salon in town!
