I’ve been finding this rainy Spring especially hard. Between the weather and the enormous weight of the never ending to do list combined with some things unfolding in my personal life, it’s been a lot. I’ve realized that I’ve been putting far too much pressure on myself and that it’s probably not healthy for my mind to be running off in a million different directions.

Brain dumps have been helping me get everything off my mind. It helps me gain clarity on what is actually important and what can wait. Lately I’ve set a lot of my goals to the side and have shifted my focus to complete one task a day, and if I do that, it’s a win for me. It might be something small like doing the dishes or something big, but by taking the pressure off myself, these things are slowly getting easier and I’m starting to feel more like myself again.

If I’m being honest, I didn’t figure all of this out on my own. I’ve learned so much from the Thrive Thursday reels that Kingsway Counselling shares weekly on Instagram, which is why I would encourage others to seek them out. They may just be the thing that helps you work through a challenge of your own.
