I called in to let them know I was coming but would probably be late because of transit. Translink is horribly unpredictable. The MOA mentioned she would ask the doctor if he could still take me because I was about 10 minutes late. Apparently, he wouldn’t even though I did see him wander into reception during my appointment time. Dr. Waller ignored me and called the next patient. I was informed that I would have to pay $30 because I was late. I’ve never been asked to pay a late fee anywhere, I’m rarely late though, and this at a clinic at one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Canada. I had only seen Dr. Waller once, and while there had been no conflict nor any problems during my previous visit, I feel the fine was meant to prevent me from making another appointment. I feel like I was discriminated against. Avoid the clinic and Dr. Waller.

If it weren’t for this clinic I would have overdosed or died from high risk behaviours.

If you are reading this than it’s not too late. It’s never too late. Most people die from a heart attack before they hit the water.

Multiple patient complaints were submitted to the college of physicians and ministry in regard. Absolutely horrible front staff. Our calls were logged. Now there telling my NP I was the issue. I'm going to do everything I can to shut everyone here down

The Dr. listened to me and not in a rush to pushme out the door. Respectful an offer alternatives to medications. Drs. attentiveness makes it worth the going into the area

Dr Alexander Roberts is the best doctor I've met so far in Vancouver BC, he's patient, compassionate , articulate and very caring. He's helped me a lot as I have had a lot of issues with my health and many physical and mental problems this last two years have been the worst for me and he's been there for me I highly recommend him I'm so glad Canada has him. As for the front desk and the staff they are very accommodating and they always call me back right away and they're very kind. Thank you dockside clinic

Dr. Roberts is the best doctor I’ve had. He is compassionate, patient, knows his stuff with medications through and through, and is always willing to do any kinds of referrals and forms with me, no problem. He has never made me feel rushed or not listened to. 10/10 for family doctors. I am grateful as someone who has been experiencing chronic health issues and didn’t have access to a consistent doctor before him. He treats you like a person and doesn’t have an ego complex like so many doctors do. Dockside has always gotten back to me in good time to book my appointments and their front desk staff is kind. As this is primarily an addiction clinic, be prepared for that kind of environment in the waiting room/outside the doors.

Dr. Alex Roberts is wonderful! He took the time to listen to my concerns and seemed genuinely concerned about my well-being. He organized referrals and everything that I needed. After 5+ years without a family doctor in Vancouver I am so grateful to have found him!
