This is a busy clinic with occasional scheduling issues, however, they've provided high quality care for my family for years and I'm grateful to have them. The receptionists are under a lot of pressure and can be very blunt, which I appreciate, but it may throw some patients off. Our doctor is very attentive and the reception always finds a way to help. If you can withstand the chaos of an overworked healthcare system, and its impact on small clinics like this, Cottage Medical is a diamond in the rough.

Dr Mateus is the worst family doctor I have ever seen. He had no idea how to help me with my edema, did not believe that I had sleep issues (after I went to a sleep specialist I found out that my sleep problems are severe and complex--I need a CPAP and medication), and when I came to him with my depression he told me to "take care of it myself". He has zero understanding or compassion about mental health issues and I fear that a person with less fortitude than I might harm themselves. Dangerous man. 100% do not recommend.

My doctor is Kimberly Cameron at Cottage Medical. She is a young, smart, forward-thinking, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring doctor. She has phoned me at home numerous times following a serious health issue earlier this year which I have appreciated very much. She never makes me feel rushed when I'm in her office, always taking the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. I hope sooooo much that she stays at Cottage Medical for many years to come! And the women who work at the front desk are also lovely. Kathleen and Claire are so kind and helpful. If you phone and the line is busy, it's because they are taking the time to reassure another patient or answer their questions, and one day it might be you who needs that. They are just the best! And the clinic in general has a very friendly and down to earth feel to it. I'm so happy I found them.

wonderful CLINIC. Don't know why people are complaining about reception at this clinic. Try answering phones, acknowledging people coming in for appt, doctors asking for charts or asking them to make phone calls etc. I have been coming here for over 4 yrs and Everyone has treated me with kindness and patience. To the people complaining, quit being a Karen and put yourself in some one shoes, the reception and the doctors all have lives, have family just as us, they have sorrow, joy or grief just the same as us. I think the people who complain are angry before they enter the office.

I have nothing but good things to say about Cottage Medical. For those complaining about the service or receptionists. Why don’t you try taking calls from 200 sick people a day who feel they should always come first. Exhausting. As for Dr. Cameron, she is amazing and thorough. As for her staff, they have at times sounded rushed but have always been polite. Period.

The receptionist (no accent) at this place is a piece of work. Attitude of a 13-year old on her period with all the hemming, hawing, and sighing included. Her tone alone is sufficient to put someone in a bad mood.

I would be embarrassed to have her representing my clinic. She should take some B12 and get some exercise to get those endorphins going.

About that receptionist......she is a peice of valuable art work. Friendly, always dressed nicely has great wit and charm. The total package. Anyone would be lucky to have her on their team.

This had been my gp for 20+ years. Normally I would rave about them but, nowadays... Oof! There is one lady with an accent who is absolutely rude. When she didn't understand that my temp pain meds would run out days before the specialist appointment, I attempted to repeat myself and she hung up on me... Gross client care.
