Mel, the owner, is a past colleague of mine who I now work for as both a first aid attendant and instructor. I have never known Mel to treat his clients, students or anyone for that matter in any other way than professional and respectful. He is easy going, friendly and fair. Excellent and professional training, as well as timely and kind staff. Alpine first aid offers training as well as first aid attendants and medics for industry. If you live in the comox valley you will see their trucks driving around attending various jobs all over the island. They are often staffed by BCEHS paramedics picking up extra work. Working with them at job sites they are professional and always ready and able to help out where they can.

As far as training courses, the owner is an excellent teacher. His sense of humor makes learning palatable and fun! He is a long time paramedic and has so much knowledge and passion to share.

If you are looking for first aid training or first aiders, Alpine is a top contender on the island.

I've known Mel from the medical services field for a period of 3 years or so.

In addition to being well-known as an ethical business operator for whom many Paramedics and medics return repeatedly to work, as a long-term Paramedic with BCEHS, he regularly contributes to discussions among many first aid and medic groups on Facebook and elsewhere to provide advice to Paramedics and medics on a wide variety of topics and is a great resource to many.

He is direct, honest, and active in communities on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, and I encourage anyone to communicate with him about his services and experience.

Can't recommend these guys enough !! The courses I took with them were well laid out and delivered in a manner that was easy to comprehend and learn. Also by far the most professional crew and company I've ever contracted for first aid coverage for events I've run. I will definitely be using their training and services again in the future !
