I was looking for a chair so I Googled "used furniture store" and found Anizco Hotel Furniture Liquidators.  It's actually the only used furniture store I could find in downtown Vancouver.  Unless you want to go to an antique store, which isn't really the same thing.  Antique furniture usually isn't practical or comfortable, but it can be expensive.

Thankfully, Anizco is a proper used furniture store and an epic one at that.  The store is actually a character building that has been turned into a cavernous warehouse that is filled to the ceiling with every kind of furniture related item that you can imagine.  It almost feels like you stepped into a "Harry Potter" movie.

Not surprisingly, Anizco also rents many of their items out to the film industry.  You could definitly find lots of great props here for a movie or photo shoot.  The entire store would be a great place to shoot a movie.

Anizco is right downtown beside the Pacific Central train station, so it was very easy to get to.  The staff was very nice and helpful.  The selection of furniture is great.  Prices are great.  And of course the whole idea of recyling and reusing furniture is great for the environment.  Our garbage dumps are filled with furniture that we just throw away.  The government should have programs to incentivise stores like Anizco so that we recycle and reuse everything that society creates.

And lastly, when you consider how inflation and the cost of living just keeps rising...stores like Anizco are vital for providing people with more options to stretch their dollar.

I had been looking for kitchen chairs for a while. I found this place via a google search on used furniture. I found the perfect chairs, strangely in the colors I wanted. I may repaint them in the summer but for now I'm liking the shabby thing. Really nice staff and a huge amount of stuff. I will be back.

Total HIDDEN GEM - my partner and I were going to buy furniture from IKEA and stopped here on a whim. We couldn't believe the selection and prices, not to mention super friendly staff. The pieces we bought ended up being higher quality, more affordable, and bonus - more sustainable for the environment. Amazing experience.

Amazing place. Candy store for home furnishings. PIcked up the most voguish table lamp and a number of odds and ends for my new place. Each item comes with a super cool story as many items are used and come from area hotels. Commercial grade quality. Customer service was A+...very friendly and helpful.
Anizco will always be my 'stop in' before heading out to purchase anything else for my house.
