Absolutely STUNNING setting. Phenomenal! The location of this winery is spectacular. Rolling hills, beautiful plants and landscaping, and the building are amazing. The service, from our amazing deliver, Katrina, was fantastic. She was very hospitable and took care of us, and was very knowledgeable on the wines we tasted.

We ordered cheese and olives and were shocked by the price— we got a giant portion of brie and a big bowl of olives, as well as a great assortment of crackers. The only thing that could improve this dish is some jam or jelly of some kind.

We were the only people there today, and it was surreal. I 10000% recommend.

We spent a delightful hour and more at Averill Creek the other day, it is what wine tasting was like in Sonoma & Napa 30-40 years ago. We chatted with Andy Johnston about grapes, climate and wine making, and with Adrienne Gilbert the tasting room manager (an exceptional member of the winery staff) and one of her trainees about the wines we were enjoying, especially the Pinot Noirs. The grounds and facilities are beautiful, but it is the wine and the people who will bring us back. Well done.

if there was a chance to give 10 stars, I would do so! This is definitely a place to visit and to remember forever! The hospitality is on the highest level, special thanks to the Owner of the Vineyard for being-l so hospitable and providing an unforgettable personalized experience to all the guests. Vines are all local and have no additives, which makes them completely organic and unique. I highly recommend this place for those whose taste buds missed some burst of flavors and aroma! Your eyes will appreciate the aesthetics of the place with the magnificent view and all these flowers and trees of the garden. Must must must visit!

Beautiful experience at Averill Creek Vineyard. Our group shared the Estate flight and the Reserve flight, both of which were outstanding. The 2018 Sassenach was a favorite. We shared duck pâté, cheese & olives, and the smoked salmon; all were delicious. Their patio is situated in a beautiful garden overlooking the vines. The entire experience was delightful.

What an amazing winery! I chose this due to reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The setting is stunning. I did a tasting and their 3 “Joue” wines were very interesting and fun - I bought 2 bottles of the red. The prices are very affordable. I would highly recommend it!

We’ve been to Averill Creek on a couple occasions in the past to enjoy good wine with a great view, with a lovely charcuterie board and the service was really good. Until today!! We went with friends to celebrate a birthday, had a table booked at 4:00 for 7 of us and was told they don’t do charcuterie boards only snacks which there were only three to choose from and if we didn’t order them right away there wouldn’t be any left…Really! The wine we had was really nice and the snacks were OK, other than serving potatoe chips as a side instead of crackers or a nice banquette to have with the cheese would have been more satisfying. The server came to pick up our plates and glasses and when we said to her “oh do we have to leave right now” …her snarky reply was..”Well some of us do need to go home and cook dinner”. Needless to say we won’t be going back or will we recommend this place.

Averill Creek is a beautiful spot with a fantastic view of the Cowichan Valley, but as a regular "designated driver" I need to vent.

It is 2025. There are dozens, if not HUNDREDS, of incredible craft options for non-alcoholic beverages for those of us who want to chaperone our friends and family safely and responsibly. The fact that Averill Creek only has ONE option (San Pellegrino Soda) for those of us who aren't partaking in enjoying the wines is frankly dissapointing, and it's been like this for a long time. I'm not asking for much here... just something a bit "special" that I would gladly spend $5-10 on to make my time a bit more worthwhile. Ever heard of Kombucha? Canned Mocktails? Heck, even a Philips craft soda? There are so many easy, local, and on-brand options that could make designated drivers feel a little more appreciated.
