Such a wonderful shop filled with delicious yarns and friendly/knowledgable staff.
Bought yarn for my first sweater in ages here. Brought the sweater in a couple of time when I had questions or just wanted some encouragement. They suggested a new to me technique (magic circle) and offered tips on how to fix a feature of the pattern (ravelry) that I wasn't fond of - baggy pockets.
Now loaded up with yarn for my next project 🙂
Highly recommend whether you're in Victoria or shopping online.

This is the most welcoming and inclusive wool store. Even non-knitters will enjoy looking around at all the beautiful items crafted by staff and customers. They have all kinds of wool from less expensive for beginners and more expensive for this projects that need something special, and everything in between. Don't forget to check out the sale bin! This shop offers all types of classes from knitting to crocheting and also does "help I really messed up" time slots for when you don't know how to fix your mistake or don't really understand the next set of instructions in the pattern. All the staff are friendly and helpful, but for me, Michelle has been the super hero as she not only taught me how to knit, she has helped me fix my mistakes.

Best selection of yarn in Victoria. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or more experienced knitter, you will receive great help for whatever project you’re working on.

I'm wondering whether the shop changed owners in the past two years. When I first visited, the shop was easily worth a five-star rating: they offered incredibly helpful service, good yarn selection, and insightful pattern advice.

I didn't see any of those original folks when I visited recently. Instead I was "helped" by an indifferent employee who, when I indicated I had an online order to pickup, immediately stopped helping me and instead helped two other customers in a row. Their explanations for why an incredibly common needle and size weren't in stock rang hollow, and they could not provide an estimate for when more stock might arrive.

I'm disappointed. This used to be such a great shop, but it's gone downhill. I don't like buying from Amazon, but at least you can find what you're looking for and receive a more or less accurate ship date--two things lacking at a local store I used to love. Even the Amazon customer service bots are friendlier.
