So far, abrogated contact and counseling duties. Takes forever. No advocates. Useless after hours. No insight into funds that low income don't have. Diagnostic access severely hampered. Constant turn over of contact people which negates counseling in some areas. Need remediation and consistent quick insightful responses instead of "I'm sorry".

I had a counsellor who was unwilling to keep consistent appointments, didn't pivot online when covid hit and didn't help me find a replacement even though I asked four months before counselling ended. It took me about eight months of scrambling when they left to finally find another counsellor, after calling all across Canada and including all the surrounded communities. While the new one was willing to keep consistent appointments, and found a backup, both of them went on vacation at the same time without notice and left me high and dry...improvement? Thankfully an intake worker was able to keep the ball rolling a bit, but resources are woeful, limited and in my opinion, unprofessional and the workers, while well intentioned, need better, more comprehensive and regulated training to understand, love and respect the vulnerable people they work with.

Helpful where applicable. The people involved are typically great, unfortunately they have a heap of red tape to climb to get access to a qualified psychiatrist. Unfortunately Grand forks does not have a resident psych., So two visit a couple times a week. The demand is high, and the wait is long to get in. Though I don't know what I would have done without their services. Via plan g for medicine, providing personal assistance, and sharing access to local groups recommended by my doctor. They're a good lot who always remembers my face and name, even after months of not visiting.

The building used to be a money loan place now its Mental Health. Interior Health is also in the building. Everyone who works there is exceptionally friendly. Make u feel at ease and welcome. Clean and spacious, good atmosphere.

They ignore you. 2nd time I needed some help and been turned away. If they called me they missed to call me 1 time more.... pretty annoying and really helps with the distrust for the already broken system. 😒
