I'm sad to see that this clinic has some low ratings, and I feel sad also for some of the experiences I read about in the reviews! It doesn’t look good, but there's usually more to the story from the clinic side and the patient side.

All I can say for myself is that I've been going to this clinic almost my whole life and I deeply appreciate the experiences with the doctors there. I see Doug Anderson, and he's the best doctor I could ever ask for. I've also seen Dr. Howard and he is just as wonderful. I've even seen a female doctor there years ago, and I had a good experience. Staff are very busy, but that is to be expected, and the front desk staff are polite and professional. It's what I'd expect from a medical clinic, as it's typically not as warm as say, a massage therapist's clinic, but they provide excellent services. I can only assume that if anyone's had a negative experience, it's uncommon.
I'm very thankful to have a doctor at this clinic.

My parents and I had a great family doctor at this clinic who tragically passed away but we recently received a letter informing us that they will not be distributing their patients to other doctors or getting a new or temporary doctor.

It's unsettling that a clinic would terminate patients as it feels unethical when my parents are on medications (and seniors) that require the oversight of a family doctor.

We're also been with this clinic for over 30 years.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I have lived in the Valley for many years and could never find a great doctor. When we moved to Comox, Dr. Maria Smit arrived. As our previous doctor moved, was able to get in. She is the best doctor have ever seen. Clear, communicative, patient and listens so well. She graciously saw my older out of town mother in a crisis and she felt same thing. Have not had to use another doctor there yet I find the staff at clinic efficient, warm and the environment welcoming.

I have been ignored by the girls at the front desk when asking to see a dr, even though I am in pain with a sinus infection and need antibiotics. A friend called and they put her in same day and she was not in pain . I guess they run the show …. Please take the plastic down at the reception, Covid is over , it might help with patient rapore !

I absolutely love my doctor here, but I have to say, something has to be done about the reception at this office. I've wasted so much of my time on hold, only to be left waiting on the line while it rings until I give in and hang up because nobody will answer. This happens during normal office hours, as well as outside of lunch hours. It's very frustrating, I hope something can be done about this.
